How would you get the front cover off when the cable plug is inside the type2 socket (going through the front cover) 😉 It will not be possible to remove it - so therefore it will also be impossible to get access to the locking mechanism 🔒

looks a nice solution, I like the back is separate so the charger isn't hanging on the cables.

As an installer I would not feed 3 cables into the central unit when installing multiple units. Start at one end and just loop in and out all the way to the other end. Not pleasingly symmetrical I know, but more practical.

Is it possible to have the customer app on two devices? I was thinking if two people use the car and charger abd want the app on their phones.

Great review, I'm looking for a charger right now and this one is an attractive option. I like no cable, clean and tidy on the house. The Equaliser they offer is a question for me too, I've mailed them to ask how that could possibly deal with the solar installation. It plugs directly into the digital meter so I'd hazard a guess that if it detects grid loading from solar, it'll charge the car that amount. I'd hope so. I'm not al electrician though, it's all witchcraft to me, interesting to read up on but still witchcraft :)

Godamnit, I bought one of these as I was sold by the compact design. It's working fine but now I'm thinking of converting my solar panels to off grid with battery. Rewatching this it doesn't sound like this will work 😭

Thats weird, i have the wireless load balancer from easee, you just plug it on the main smart kwh meter, and it connects with radio and wifi to the charger, no need anymore to also connect a utp cable to the charger.

It’ll certainly be easier to install than the Zappi which I ordered months ago, and still hasn’t arrived. Being forced to use one of the few certified installers (purely to get the grant cash back) is a joke.
@100tinsoldiers
@100tinsoldiers 3 жыл бұрын
That sounds more like the installer than myenergi, I ordered one 2 weeks ago with a 6 week lead time, it came in under 2 weeks. You can use any registered OLEV installer to get the grant. If its not for work there is no cash back the installer should knock the £350 off the invoice and claim it.

@@DaraM73 That's a pain, you would think more would want to be registered its a busy time. I think they are worth waiting for I like the Zappi. I assume its similar in Scotland but I think the scheme was run the wrong way round from the start the customer should claim the grant not the installer, and open it up to any registered electrician. Hopefully you can get one installed soon.

I've just purchased an Easee charger and I think it's garbage. The installation was easy but the software/app is rubbish. Push button on unit does absolutely nothing, app does not recognise the serial number and pin number. Overall the apps are confusing if you just wish to charge your own car. Still awaiting Easee for explanation to my problems. Would not recommend one to anyone. Stuck with a charger I can't use.

Hi Roger I disagree compared to other apps it’s very simple to use an navigate there’s no reason for a user to ever press the physical button on it really… what you struggling with I’ll try guide you

@@NicolasRaimo Hi Nicolas It would be nice if you could, but I'm not sure you will be able to. The colour bar just flashes all white, then yellow on the bottom 10mm which tells me, from the manual, that the charger needs configuring. I am unable to add my charger to the app. It keeps telling me ' Incorrect charger serial or pin code' , both of which I am taking from the sticker on the unit. I am unable to link my phone wifi to the charger. The manual says to press the button and the bar will turn green and the tone will change. Nothing I do results in a network signal from the charger to my phone. What really annoys me is the inability to contact anyone at Easee for assistance. I did eventually find a 'Help' form, but no one has relied to date. 😟😟😟

@@rogerwilson6367 i think to assign a charger you need to have a installer login, however rather than typing serial number you tried scanning the rfid tag on backplate with your phone?

@@NicolasRaimo I have logged, filled in details and transfered ownership to my phone. It mentioned receiving information for the user, but I received nothing. Scanned the backplate and received a load of info regarding the unit, including confirmation of serial no. Scanned the code on the front of the charger but it came back with a message something like 'unit not on line or you don't have permission' . Considering I paid 600 GBP and it's inside my garage, I think I should have permission! I have a site key which they sent, but I fail to see what I should do with it.

Hi Nicolas Got it sorted, but had to get Easee to do it from their end. Not exactly sure what they did but at least it appears to now be working. Will try charging car tomorrow. Thanks for your help. ASs you said I didn't need to press any buttons once it was working, so the manual is a little confusing in that respect.
