If this really is the last DLC, then RIP secretarybird, Goodfellow's tree kangaroo, honey badger, walrus, muskox, Japanese serow, howler monkey, Nile crocodile, South American coati, king cobra, chameleons and American black bear..... but hey, when they make the sequel they can finally be added in! And we shall rejoice when that happens! Ok, onto the DLC, doesn't matter if it is indeed the last one or not, it's still great, they cooked with the animal selection. I was worried the sifaka wouldn't leap and I thought its face looked off in the screenshot, but in-game it looks amazing and yay, it leaps! Wooohooooo!

Don't worry, it is technically not the final DLC they will make new packs revolved around regions and countries around the globe. Or even deluxe editions of the previous packs.

Fun fact: The short-faced bear's skull wasn't actually that short compared to bear skulls of today. The reason why it looks so short is due to an optical illusion created by the deeper snout and shorter nasal bones of tremarctine bears when compared to more modern ursine bears

I do think this is the last DLC, which is a bit of a shame, but Planet Zoo has been receiving DLCs and updates for five years now, so it was bound to come to an end eventually. While there are some animals that should have made it in, the Goodfellow's tree kangaroo, secretary bird, South American coati, and several New World monkeys spring to mind, this game has improved so much since launch, and I'm mostly satisfied with the state of the game now. If we ever get a sequel, I think we can all agree that flying birds are a must.

Omg love the sifaka. The leopard and tortoise actually looks really good as well, in fact all the animals look good. The kirk's dik dik is super cute. Aww I love the sifaka, so cool they added the fun fact about the legend of the sifaka. I have been Madagascar and the local people call the Indri "Babakota". The legend is sightly different depending on the region but yeah the Malagasy people consider the sifaka as a sacred animal.

this is certainly NOT THE END. We still have space for one at the end of the year. Since they took a month longer than usual with this one tells me they were likely also working on a second one at the same time as this one to make sure it could come out before the end of the year.

Love all the animals, the markhor is so cool~ Watching baboons climb down poles was funny. All the babies are adorable, I wanted to comment on all of them but 16:42 MY HEART! They're weird, but still! They fly now, I guess! Every time I see the pallas cat I look up plushie versions of them and get jumpscared. I love them though! 27:05 It's SO small! Oh my goodness. If I saw one in person I might cry. Just so tiny! There are smaller ones?!? The leopard is cute - glad that we finally got it. The decorations are cute, too! I thought the statue was real for a second. The lights are so cute~ Love the lanterns, and the tent stuff is a cool addition! I have such mixed feelings about this maybe being the last dlc. I love this game though, it's been fun.

It's sad to think of Planet Zoo winding down (though I also know I haven't had nearly enough time to play much of it lately)... But I'm also excited for Planet Coaster 2. Some of the changes they've made should make park-building a lot quicker and easier. I know your Planet Coaster 2 video didn't do terribly well, which is such a shame... After seeing your approach to animal habitat designs, I feel like it would be so much fun to watch you tackle themed areas and rides, with props and special effects that are actually designed to create the sort of scenes you have in your head. I would definitely be up for watching you build in Planet Coaster 2, though I understand if it's not feasible -- because you need videos that do well, and the Planet games do take a lot of time and effort for things to really come together... Anyway. I would love to see you play Planet Coaster 2, but also totally understand if it doesn't work out. Thanks for giving us this Planet Zoo showcase! It is a fun pack of animals. And the pavilion tents and bunting and everything are really fun! Not sure how often I'll use them as intended, but I'm excited at the idea of having large panels of fabric....

I heard by someone that Frontier said that this isn’t the last DLC but I haven’t heard much about it so I could be wrong and this is the last DLC for planet zoo until we get Planet zoo 2

I can’t hate a pack that adds grumpy cat and zoboomafoo to the game! Overall I do like this pack and it’s a nice little bookend to the game, it’s definitely not the best pack.

Guys i have a theory! Leaf released a video explaining how the planco dictionary showed the words Hamadryas, secretary, and goodfellow! There might be two more dlcs that has each one in it just like HAMADRAYAS baboon to zookeeper’s collection. Maybe temperate pack for goodfellow’s and equatorial for secretary bird, or even equatorial that contains both is good enough for me lol! I just really want shoebill, bush dog, and giant forest hog! 😭

It is really nice DLC, I think I am not buying it tho... Also I expected them to maybe re - do all of the base game animals, like zebra, lion and girrafe because they hella need it. The new leopard is super cute and I am exited to play with it

Is this pack a thank you from Frontier and telling us they're moving on, or a thank you and a celebration of support for five years? Did anyone think the game would be done when the console edition was announced? Is it on a timetable like the Jurassic World games because they coincide with the movies? Why would they give up their biggest money-making game just like that? How many times have they surprised us, mostly me this year? Will they do it again? Think on those.

Planet Zoo already has 5 crocodilians. Saltwater Crocodile, Gharial, Cuvier's Dwarf Caiman, American Alligator, and Spectacled Caiman.

If this is the last pack, then I'm kind of disappointed. All these DLCs and we've never gotten the Walrus, Muskox, Secretary Bird, or Honey Badger. Not to mention that we have only one new world monkey in the entire game, and still no Nile Crocodile, one of the most iconic reptiles on the planet, and no Tree Kangaroo, an incredible and highly requested animal. I love the animals we've gotten in this pack, but it feels so wrong ending the game's support now, when there's still so many potential animals they could add that would make the animal roster feel more complete. Just my two cents.

shame we never got true aviaries, beyond bats. I think they shouldve added 1 exhibit bird so modders could have something to work with. But Im probably getting this purely for the dik-dik, peak ungulate. And Amur leopards are my favourite cats, but the African leopard look comparatively brilliant

These were clearly requested by other people than yourself. We very likely aren't getting an aquarium or aviary in Planet Zoo 1, in the same way that this was added to JWE2 not JWE1. Whether it be tech limitations or simply that they want to save a hook for the next game. If they did add a DLC like that right at the end of this game then they'd have all the people complaining that there's only 5 fish or birds and why haven't they added more. It's better to save it.

A single pack, even a big one, would have max 8 creatures. I said 5, but that was clearly just a number that was thrown out and wasn't meant to be super important. The important bit is that it would be a single pack, so there would be a lot of fighting over "why did they include this rather than this" exactly as you're doing with the animals they're already choosing. They've chosen them for a reason. The reason is clearly not because you wanted them, but I'm certain someone did. Or maybe they just thought they'd be interesting additions. They haven't said that it's a "fan favourites" pack, that's just what other people are labelling it. You don't like it, don't buy it. Simple as. No one is forcing you to buy any DLC. If a DLC pack is a "fart in a jar" then just don't buy it? It's the same advise that any sane individual would follow, but you're clearly 14 so I guess you don't understand that yet. It's okay. And are you a dev on the game? No? Then you don't know anything about it. Yes those mechanics exist already, but there has to be a reason why they haven't done anything like that before. Maybe it would slow the game down too much, be a lot to load, affect other processes in some way that you wouldn't initially think? Or maybe they just didn't want to, as I also suggested. Maybe they wanted to save it. You can scream into the wind all you like, it doesn't change the fact that the game is not just made for you personally, and you're welcome to play it as you like. Just as other people are allowed to enjoy it however they like. If there are certain species you want that aren't included then you said it yourself, mods. Then you get it without the price tag as well, win-win.

Pulling another child's hair or some such has actual consequences, for example as someone else is directly affected, while you not purchasing a pack for a game because you don't like the content does not. Is it a cashgrab? Yes, of course it is. All DLC is a cashgrab. It's done for profit. I don't get what you're even trying to say here. At the very least with things like this you can 100% enjoy the rest of the content without buying it all, unlike in a good number of other games. It's more than likely they need something to sell a sequel game, simple as. Maybe just take this as the treat it is and save your money for something else. Complaining about it like they've done something to personally offend you won't do anything. Won't change what they've decided to make, or not make, as the case may be. Enjoy the free leopard, and the modded content if that's what makes you happy, because that's what gaming is about at the end of the day.
