Hi Mattias, I actually bought this synth while it was still in the BETA stage and was part of the BETA testing. This is a very powerful synth and it's easy to create your own sounds. Great possibilities in sound design with this synth. I edged on the developer to have some decent factory sounds and he did just that. Insignificant by the loos, but incredible power to create you own favorite sounds! Great review, my friend!

Hey Mike, awesome. Beta testing is fun! Yeah Ghost is really easy to get going with and love the onboard effects and available modulation. Factory presets is indeed crucial to reach a broader market, as not everyone is adapt at creating cool sounds.

Totally agree. I boought Pigments and Phaseplant on sale for 99 EUR and 90 EUR and even Falcon 3 i scored for 170 EUR … so for regular 200 bucks, it's an easy skip for me. I'll wait for Black Friday or any other occasion when it's coming down to 100 bucks. Than I'll give it. a try.

If they are smart, they would get into a distribution agreement with Tracktion as the graphics and capabilities would fit well in their line of vsts. That said, most of us interested in new approaches are already fully satisfied with so many other quality plugins and selective hardware such as the Iridium. I am sure an incredible amount of work went in the design and development. Whether the price point is the best, time will tell.

Many of the sounds had completely unique and never before heard character. A must have, but I'll wait and see if there's a holiday sale before jumping in. Even at 20% off, it's not a necessary buy for me, given all of the other AMAZING synths I've barely even looked at since purchasing. I've been a plugin [word for promiscuous person], and I'm trying to control my naughty impulses. Though, truly, this ONE plugin could replace about 90% of them. I'm talking on the level of Current, Pigments, etc. So, anyone just now beginning their plugin-buying career, LOL!, If you're not going free with Vital, Cardinal, Surge XT, Zebralette 3, and other great free synths, go with Ghost - FIRST - then later decide if you need other top costly synths. Ghost is seriously THAT good!

also a nice demo, actually a pretty solid and beautiful synth what is growing yet, i am curious of the next features, also the Graphics will be optimized. - STE is kinda Stereo Modulation but the Developer think about to get rid of it in the next updates. cheers*

You came into prominence as a Bitwig channel and FM using wavetables is possible in PolyGrid. Sure, it's a bit more difficult to use than a specialized FM synth with a proper FM modulation matrix, but it doesn't cost $199. Having said that - sounds like a great synth, but I'll wait for $99 price point or lower. Also, their website is ridiculously devoid of any actually useful info.

Yes my channel and 80% of my content has been Bitwig. More is coming along that line too. But sometimes I want to check out other stuff too. 😂🥳 FM / phase modulation synthesis is possible in any DAW. Phase-4 is another favourite of mine, which we use a ton in my courses. It’s my personal choice since it’s so visual with oscilloscopes for all 4 oscillators. Really helps to tune in what u want….and see where things are going. Just because anything is possible in Bitwig it doesn’t mean I will stop looking into other tech. My core journey is to explore. And wherever that may take me. Hope that makes sense. 😄🎸

PURE speculation, but I imagine the author received tons of praise from the cadre of top sound designers enlisted for beta testing and creating presets for Ghost. From such, one could be emboldened to price high and go the SonicCharge Synplant route = NEVER advertise a discount price or sale. Instead, they might do discounts via affiliate links, and like SonicCharge, give pretty generous loyalty discounts for return buyers of multiple products - of course for Exacoustics, only after there are more products in their catalog. If they DO offer a holiday season (Black Friday, Cyber Monday) discount, hopefully the 20% affiliate links will still be valid, such that the total discount might get the price down to $120. I seriously doubt they'll go below that for some time. I'd buy at $120.

Yeah Digitone II is fun and an awesome device. Tactile stuff, but DAW+plugin is more versatile in the long run.

The web site of Exacoustics is really basic, no sample sounds, no detailed informations about this Vst software, they focus only on €199,00 price without details on audio/sound capabilities. Ok, now tell me about the differences between the FM capabilites of Reason Algoritm, the Montage M, the Synclavier Regen, the Yamaha DX 7, the Korg Opsix and the Novation Summit. Let's see if you have the right knowledge about the FM synthesis.

Yeah they should look at competition and offer a free version, like Vital. Pretty tough to compete against free. 🤷‍♂️
