Great review and good timing as I've been wondering about whether I should get cloud storage for backup and if so which one. Say you need to access the Dropbox from another laptop or tablet device (as you don't have access to yout main laptop) how do you then play the tracks through the RB software. Usually the RB on my main laptop would be reading the tracks from local hard drive but that will not be the case if using another laptop/ tablet device.

So think about this. I'm paying for the £30pm and over time I've imported my tracks and lists etc all is good and loving it. Even to a point where I just move all my music to the cloud as I'm comfortable in doing so. THEN I fall in hard times and finances are tight or need to fix car or life happens or whatever.... If I stop my subscription to aid my financial situation, will I still get my music back if I restart like 6m-1yr later?? Have I lost it all? If so what's the point of dedicating yourself to a system and you still need to back up your music for that just in case situation. Surely if I'm to back up a hard copy that's far cheaper to buy more harddrives than the extra £15pm for indefinitely... Food for thought.

If you cant justify the cost of this service, but you already use a cloud storage service on your laptop, then you can get a poor mans approximation of this. Just store your DJ tracks on your regular cloud synced folder, Backup your database to a cloud folder, and restore that database on your any other machine thats connected to the same cloud account. The biggest thing this method wont give you is the mobile app integration. I`m not really seeing much value in the export backups becuase its still dependent on you getting access to a laptop. You`d be better off exporting to two seperate USB`s and keeping one of those as a redundant spare.

Have stored my music on hard drives for years. They are easy and accessible. They work. If one fails, I go to the other and get another back up. I'm still puzzled why you need access to unlimited music whilst doing your set. I hate the idea of looking for music on a cloud service that I have never played before. I simply have all the music I need. I do not need a 4 million song online playlist, just because someone wants that tune, you might not have. This is big business trying to sell us stuff we really do not need. I am all for innovation, but they have to give something of true value and for a fair price.

Aside that the cloud is slow with rb even with fast Internet so I would always host from a usb drive live as its 4 to 5 sec load time first time in each new session on both computer and nexus controllers which isn't the best I'd like to see Rekordbox update the following: EDIT MODE is slow. It needs to be a bit easier to zoom in and out of wave files without re loading each time. Fade options be nice automatic crossfades etc. Stems mode? When? Backup a playlist and songs to Internal hdd, how? I only have options to backup to an external drive. Midi remapping options to include pitch bend commands would be nice, also I find traktor was a bit more accurate for pitch control also
