First off, I would like to say thank you for this video. I can't think of any other expression so far in any other media that has so accurately portrayed the bot problem. It's worse than I thought, and I was already aware that it was bad. I was one of the few people I knew who voted no. I have a darker view than most on the issue; that the vote was intentionally rigged to give credence to Jagex's decision to cash in on the "untapped" bot demand.

Divine Peter I dont mind people buying stuff from Jagex, like TH tickets, Cosmetics etc. They get fast levels but why should I care? They give money to Jagex and they can hire more ppl to work on updates, to bring updates more frequently etc... Why do you care that there is a player who spent hundreds of dollars on TH just to lvl up faster? The skills can be lvled up much faster than before and I think thats a good thing, because I cant see myself doing RC for a thousand hours just to get 99. So my question again (no hate intended) why do you care?

+Jan Horvath Probably because it lowers the value of that skill, 99 RC is an achievement but it used to actually mean that person devoted real time and effort to getting it. Now you can literally just afk RC for a week or 2 while doing literally anything else and get the same cape that would've taken someone else months of devotion and actual play to get. When everyone is super, no one is.

Apparently, 40% of the playerbase was bots and they were all banned. That's crazy. It led to Jagex releasing microtransactions, but I think that's a necessary evil. It's better than having to deal with so many bots everywhere, and microtransactions were going to come to the game eventually anyway

I just want to say I'm so proud of you. I didn't realise what was going on while I've been away. Clare told me about their decision...tbh I think this is showing EXACTLY why you were given a crown in the first place; you really care about the community & the game. What's a sweet deal is how bots actually think they can make money forever. The price of 1m in 2008 was $1. That price fell to 1m for $0.70 by 2011. What do they honestly think will occur 10, 20, 50 years from now? Gold will be worth mere pennies to the mil. And every rare item as a result will be well over 1b (including santa hats and masks). They can't bot for cash forever. They're milking the game for all they can until Jagex steps in and begins underselling gold sites like they sell XP.

I haven't been to f2p worlds for quite a while, but I can testify to the accuracy of the portrayal of the bot epidemic on the p2p worlds. It's hell trying to get a slayer task done. Half the time there are more "players" (bots) than there are monsters. Things I used to sell to make money have all crashed because so many bots are "harvesting" the same things I used to harvest. I voted against bringing back Wildy and Free Trade for just this reason. I was right.
