This is a great review which has convinced me to buy one. I'm disabled so can't walk far, I've missed out on going out on walks with the family. But I don't want a traditional disability scooter, as they are too cumbersome for what I want [getting it through walking styles & gates], plus they are too big for manoeuvring around town/city. I only have one criticism for you, CORNERING with the inside peddle DOWN!!! Before I permanently tore my back at work aged 16, I was looking at road racing, I had contact with the then-England Olympic cycle coach/manager who was helping me with cycle parts & techniques. One thing that is a BIG, NO, NO is cornering with the inside peddle down. At worst the pedals should be level, at BEST the inside peddle should be UP!!! Try it & see how much more lean you can get, especially when going downhill fast & cornering. Keep up the good work, be safe & keep the rubber down, thanks!!!

I deleted two comments written when I purchased the bike in 2023. I have an Ovia. I had some problems, but Cyrusher kept sending me whatever I requested. I am 80 years old. As of today (August 10, 2024), I have put on 3,380 miles. The bike runs smoothly. It is 105 pounds, and for an old man like me, I have difficulty getting the bike up the ramp to my KUAT bike rack. I ride with a friend who helps. And now I will get another Ovia so my son can ride with me. I would like the QUEST, which has a mid-drive. But at $4,300, I will wait till prices come down. But I asked Cyrusher today to have the QUEST with a Gates Belt. That would be my dream bike.

It is a bit bigger than it looks like! Sucks about the display though...did you ask them about it? I think I got one of the first Ovias that made it over here, so it's possible they swapped displays for production, but they're using the same one on the new Trax and Ranger, so I would see if they could send you one ;) If you call their local US number, you can talk to the service team in Utah and they might be able to help. Worth a shot at least!

No criticism of the video; they're always very professional and best on ebikes! One comment on the OVIA design though....Seems that the welcomed bottle anchors on the battery post will restrict the step through room for your foot if there's a bottle installed. Should have been higher but that would cover the OVIA name which obviously took preference. Shame.
@Ennovation Жыл бұрын
I appreciate the compliemtn on the video! :) And you're totally right! I generally don't attach a water bottle, so I will show that in the specs (and in the video of course) but thinking through with you there, it would definitely take away from the standover height. That's an excellent idea moving it higher up on the frame! Get the functionality of a bottle cage, but not lose out on the valuable step-over height either. I appreciate you perspective on that!

Nice review, Ennovation. I really enjoy all the detail incorporated into a very well produced presentation. This looks like a really high-quality e-bike. Enjoyed your take on the bike. The only question I have involves the pedal assist function. Can you change the settings for each pedal assist level for top mph in each level? Can you add additional levels? I customized those settings on my current e-bike (Magicycle Cruiser Step-Through). What great brake action this bike has! Very impressive. Hydraulic brakes really make the difference and that Logan brand seems very well designed. I also like the better ride this one seems to have with the extra suspension. I rode 2700+ miles on my e-bike this year. E-bikes allows us older riders to keep getting out. Thank you for this thorough review!

I love all of your reviews! This one is special to me! The other day, you told me the seat height was 35". If I took off 2" from the seat post, to get it to the lowest height, it would be 33". I have a 30" inseam. I'm 5'2". I think it will be too tall for me. No integrated tail light, wide turns and the throttle connected to the PAS are all negative points. All things I could get used too, but for the price, I want to love the bike and not have to get used to it. I'm disappointed, because I love the color, the looks, the better battery, etc. compared to the Kommoda, but I want me feet to be on the ground. How tall is your wife? Would she ride this one, like she did the Kommoda to compare them for me? I think the peddle bottoms out on her on the Kommoda, when she hit those roots in the trail and that's why she didn't care for the Kommoda. She loves her Rad mini 2. Why did Rad stop making that popular bike? So disappointing, as I would have purchased one, months ago.

I'm sorry, it wasn't your wife that rode the Kommoda, it was Mr. Citizen's wife! I apologize! I just watched your video, again. Your's are so professionally done! Thank you!
@Ennovation Жыл бұрын
No worries Gail! Yes, I remember when Mrs. Citizen rode the Kommoda! My wife is 5'4", and it is probably a bit too tall for her to put her feet flat on the ground. Most people have that issue, and to ride the step-through frame, generally you can get around that by dismounting to the front, and standing over the frame. And honestly on most of these fat tire bikes, if I put the seat where it is a good, sound riding position, I also have to dismount to the front. I don't love that, but it's just a technique to use on the bigger bikes, especially with the ease of the step-through frame.

Please explain how the Ovia with a maximum seat height of 37.5" is for riders up to 6'6" while the Kommoda with a maximum seat height of 41.5" is only rated for riders up to 6'0". Is it just the handlebar height is higher on the Ovia whereas you could just add a stem riser to the Kommoda?
@Ennovation Жыл бұрын
Hahaha yeah I totally get how that doesn’t sound quite right. The Kommoda does have the adjustable stem, so that helps I imagine, but also, the way Cyrusher measures their seat height is from the floor, whereas most people measure that to the pedal at full extension. So that also may be a factor. And if I were 6’6” I imagine I’d be more comfortable on the Ovia. But that’s just my hot take. Lol
@v1p3d Жыл бұрын
@@Ennovation So you are saying that if you had about 6" less legroom for a taller person that would be more comfortable. I sat on the Kommoda and at full seat extension my toes just barely hit the ground. How would someone be more comfortable with 4" less seat height and pedals that are higher off the ground? You would almost have your knees in your mouth. I am 6'4" and have a 36" inseam. Both bikes measure the seat height the same way, floor to top of seat.

Great looking ebike and upgrade from the Kommoda...but for the price tag, and for safety of the rider, an integrated taillight/ brakelight should have been standard equipment. Come on Cyrusher, common sense and safety go alot further than cutting corners. Instead of waiting for the next edition or model, start adding this feature on the bike now and for the people that have already purchased one, offer to send this update free of charge and you'll probably sell more of this model.

Ovia at the moment is £400 more to buy than Kommoda which is still a fabulous bike; turns better than Ovia and has brake light and wired tail light over Ovia. Cyrusher claim up to 50 miles range for Kommoda and 43 for Ovia. So one pays your money and has the choice. At the moment...

Hey Gary! Yes for me, the low bottom bracket was the main thing that was a miss on the Kommoda for me. They fixed that here on the Ovia. One thing I didn't really touch on in the review was the folding pedals on the Ovia. They're fine, but would definitely upgrade these to a flatter pedal, and you probably wouldn't need the folding aspect anyway. It performs well on hills, on par with other 750W motors, gearing is okay for the task here.
