@16:25 I saw that one coming a mile away as soon as he picked that up the way he did. I was almost counting the seconds for how long it would take for the drop. 🤣 Excellent video, Bryan!! I hope to get to New York in the next couple of years to be able to mine some of these myself one day. So glad Matrix got to meet a friend (and a lady friend, too! lol). Hope y'all are well, and I'll try to pop in for a minute on Tuesday night's live sale. God bless!! -Joe

I love this video Bryan! It shows the different environments Herks can be found in - rock and dirt; the differences in sizes, shapes and clarity of the crystals; the types of terrain you may encounter at a certain location. The crystal they let you pull right before you went to Brad could have gone right into a giant diamond ring (minus the overgrowth) with that shape! Of course, my favorites were the two you started the video with. That giant one wasn’t reassembled? It came out intact? And it goes without saying you were made to be in front of or behind the camera. Your personality always shines through to bring an entertaining, informative and magical experience. 💜💎🪨⛏️😊

Dug Herks for years. Please note that the “smokey” Herkimer Diamonds are dark from the inclusion of Anthraxilite and not radiation like most hydrothermal quartz “smokeys”.
@TheCrystalCollector3 ай бұрын
Not the ones that are coming out from the Mohawk Valley area, they are a true radiation, veiled smoky, some even disappear and in perfect phantoms when you tilt them, carbon phantoms do not exhibit such qualties. , I understand what you’re referring to as well with the inclusions, but this is not anthraxolite or any type of carbon. I’ve known plenty of folks that have dug them for decades and have still never seen a true smoky, but we are in a zone and I know of a couple of other mines that are pulling out legit Smokies . And then sure you have the treasure mountain type, which are carbon

That’s a great question, and I don’t really know the answer. Krystal and gemstones seem to be all over the place, but I guess at some point they would be pretty much mined out, but all around the world, especially it would take lifetime I think upon lifetime

@@TheCrystalCollector deforestation is a problem, abusing nature is a problem, I'm kind of surprised that people who are into energy and natural things like crystals are ravaging tree roots and likely killing them to pull out some crystals. I'm pretty sure those trees are going to die now. Way to go. But you do you and make ur money.

You are misguided on what a Herkimer Diamond is, and the thumbnail is straight from the video,. I Herkimer is a specific formation that occurs in a specific area in New York. Sure you get perfect Little Gems that are clear and you also get these skeleton, they are two different types of Herkimer that form, the skeletons being much more rare actually.
