The Russian community was voting for edna + Philippe nerf, but the English community rallied behind thirsty dame nerf. Only 1 of 2 change bundles should have went through ideally. Philippe will likely be reverted back next season, assuming thirsty dame stays the same

I agree with this. Now status Nilfgaard seems almost dead. Although Philippe is very strong, it is tied to that archetype

The councils have gotten better over time in my opinion, although some people dislike the buffs to all of the consistency cards.

Really happy to see the Runeword at 5p! Can fit a bit more into my Shieldmages deck now -- not to mention old Gerhart now has a solid option at Patience 2, especially after the Runemage. Selective Mutation could also have some unexpected uses. Succubus, Koschey and Chimera (MO), Gellert (SY), The Prophet (NG), the Puzzle Box (N) -- all have Adrenaline. I wonder if you could build a reliable Chimera deck now.

I didn't think about the Gerhart one, that's a good point. Waiting turn really wasn't worth it most of the time but 5p Runeword makes that an interesting consideration. I've always liked the Chimera Arachas Swarm more than the Tatterwing version too. I think it needs a bit more though to compete with it though.

The tainted ale was nerfed to prov 10 so it can‘t be played unanswered in the gn version

I love your channel but I’m curious on if you have videos for beginners? I’m new and get in games where I have no idea how my opponent is playing 6 cards a turn or how all the buffs work like Order and Zeal for instance. Thanks for the help!

Some cards create other cards or let you play cards from your deck so that's what's happening. Order is an ability that you can use next turn but if the card has zeal or if you give it by other means you can use it right away

I don't believe I do, although I mention some things in the deckbuilding video I made but that's really focused on deckbuilding. I could make one but I didn't think there were enough new players for people to be interested. It might be a good idea though since I don't think anyone made a recent video teaching new players.

While we are all tired of seeing Dame and Nauzicaa Sergeants nerfed and buffed for eternity, I like that at least this time Sargeant and Slave Driver were de-coupled, so we get to at least evaluate the halfway point, instead of every patch having 4 points/provisions swinging. Isolating the variables in combos that are either too strong or too weak is a good thing.

I think one drawback with the balance council is that you can't change the damage on removal of special cards and now i see a lot of engines going to 5, for example Tourney joust was the best counter to Gwitcher adept or you could have used Toad in monsters, but now it's out of range and the only option is lock

I wish that was a possibility as well. Adept is basically the whole deck though and if the opponent had perfect answers like Toad, Joust, and Moon Dust the deck really struggled to do anything. I believe the intention is to also increase the provisions of Adept to 5 as well though.

@@platinumpatrol2964 That's the nature of Gwent though, i'm not saying it's a good or bad thing cause sometimes it is kinda frustrating to play when you know at turn 1 that you already lost, but control exists as an archetype and usually counters these one-trick pony decks

That's true. It's always a balancing act. I understand the desire to buff since the deck wasn't good and now people running the counters being annoyed by it. The fact that so many NG decks have Joust because of Jan and NG is by far the most played faction really shut down the Adept though.@@becausecontextmatters5260

Viy and Mill use Quax. And If I'm not wrong, some versions of Kelly use Quax. Maybe this last one would be the reason? I don't really get it, either. I quite agree with your observations, although I don't think the huge buff's NR has received (witchers, AA, Jon, etc.) are not that good. AA should be 13, at least (Siege should be 14). And now Jon is the only tutor that's below the 8 provision the rest are. We've unbalanced already the thinning, and now we're starting to unbalance the tutors... But, all in all, I agree this is the most positive of the Balance Councils we've had so far.

Yeah they do but they're not that great of decks so I agree it's weird. I believe all of the 8p tutor from deck units are getting buffed to 7p and they just did John first. I'm not sure how I feel about that, but it's the same people as who buffed all the thinning cards so they're definitely going to go through. Not really much point in arguing against them and I'm open to the idea. AA and Siege do seem cheap for what they do but wasn't seeing a lot of them so maybe they needed it, although I doubt it. But yeah, I was rather pleasantly surprised by just how many changes I did end up liking. Hopefully more are like this.

Jesus christ you're way to positive. Smuggler to a 10 point play is basically 5prov. Nauzicaa for SK. AA to 12??? This is turning into Gwent: the draw every card you want Game. And every buff to leaders is added powercreep. This is insane.

True, although I'm not against buffs to those decks. It's always been weird to me that Witchers in Gwent "The Witcher Card Game" haven't been very playable

Lara down one Power will be amazing! Now you can play ard gaith or however it's spelled and next turn Lara and she dies instantly. You can now actually play her in other decks then tatterwing! Also can we all please stop nerfing Regis? This is the dumbest thing I've ever seen xD

Won't you still need another Frost? Ard Gaith does 3 turns on each row and they both tick down so there's only 4 turns left on the next turn when you play her. I still don't think it'll be played outside of Tatterwing since most MO decks don't swarm the board that much.
