Identity V is a free-to-play asymmetrical multiplayer survival horror game developed and published by Chinese company NetEase. It was released in July 2018 for mobile devices. It is available on the iOS App Store, Android Google Play Store, band Windows computers. The game follows a detective named Orpheus as he unravels the mystery behind a mysterious killing game within a manor. The gameplay is structured around five players participating in competitive matches where one of them is tasked with eliminating the other players before they fulfill objectives and escape.

In my opinion the most HATED thing in this game is the rewards. CN gets better rewards than us getting s trial cards for free from what I saw. Plus they almost rigged our Nymp voting awards still giving them 10 free essences from S31 E1. While we got memory spheres they didn't deserve it, but what I think theyre doing this is because since idv is from China, the government probably dosent want any apps with bad reviews. Idv knows the essence system is unfair so they give better luck and higher rewards. While ours is trash, its probably the reason cuz we all know how to government is 🙄

Almost all multiplayer games, let alone a game made by Chinese, offer better favours to the billion-people country. They have strict rules for gaming but also have the biggest market to offer. Corporations will do anything to have a piece of that cake.

not everyone in the community wanted to rig the nymph awards, and i may be biased because i am a chinese player but the you guys actually have it better sometimes because you get cool skins that are censored on chinese server. i'm sorry if the rigged players rigged your server's nymph awards, but that does not mean everyone else should not recieve anything.

I hate that you can't do hard deductions with bot matches now, somehow they made the hunter bot smarter and capable of doing perfect blinks (Except Wuchang white guard because of delay) while also getting the dumbest survivor bots that kite into each other and leave machines almost finished completely!!

@@DukO_IDV it's the only way to use it approaching a vault vs hunters with fast miss recovery who will just ts you even if flywheel their attack no aspect of flywheel was ever truly removed, just weakened (super long cd, shorter duration, less distance) - though it's still hard to call it the most busted part of surv persona compared to broken (kneejerk) or tide's 20s invulnerability, but it is safe to say that surv persona tree completely destroys hunter's in power level

Ashes of memory is actually to give context to time of reunion AND was teased in the 2nd anniversary package letter as well with hints sprinkled in as well in other places, BUT I definitely get the frustration because now you can’t even play ToR which I hope they revamp it someday

I like the idea of rocket chairs having a unique style from each maps like the hooks in dead by daylight but keep the red color for the chairs.

Imo, I think bot matches are an ok feature. Because it helps new players to get used to the game, but I do think that bot matches should disappear after you reach a certain level or if you have been playing for a while (like let's say it gets removed after for a month of playing or at level uhh 5 ig?)

The new bot matches are absolutely atrocious. Like sometimes I get them instantly after like waiting for two seconds after i start matching.. which doesn't make sense. And sometimes i get like 10 of them in a row. In addition the new AI is terrible - the bot teammates can't kite, can't rescue and can't even decode, they just randomly leave their ciphers. At least in the past bot matches were free win and deductions but now it's so hard and frustrating to get a tie or a win because the AI is so stupid. I resorted to playing prisoner so I can finish the damn ciphers so the game doesn't need to be longer than it has to 😭

Lmao. If you get them instantly it means you've been losing a lot. That's been there forever. If it takes a while it's from the update and because matchmaking is taking too long. Protip: this doesn't happen after elk rank, so start grinding

Bot matches are so frustrating. My friend and I resorted to double enchantress strats, either with us taking kite or doing our best to keep whatever bot was being chased alive. Extra pallet stun time in the persona web helps too.

Golden Cave being introduced as a map was a genuinely baffling decision looking back on it. Three different very large floors to have to chase people through as hunter. Or trying to reach a chaired survivor in time. I remember we always wanted a priestess on the surv team. On top of that, the fastest way to get up are those ladders. Enchantresses used to bully hunters by stunning them as they tried to climb up.

During the Halloween of 2022 we got the halloween waiting room lobby now currently the character selection with table'n'all. But somewhere around that time they changed the waiting lobby to the players own room. You could pre-select a character back then. Ps. *grammar*

For me, matching lobby being our own room is better. Because before the update while waiting in dinning room the only thing we could do was chatting with our friends and in server. But now we can do many things while waiting and not get bored (?) maybe

I hate how idv does not give A/S tier skins to characters that haven't seen what an A/S tier looks like (Alice, Luchino, Alice, Anne, Alice, Robie, Alice, Percy, Alice, Antonio I think I said Alice)

I’m trying to think of some changes I remember, both good and bad. While I didn’t like it at first, the axe rework hit me hard. I still joke about the devs giving Robbie his gun back, because of how he used to be able to have two shots at sniping. Doomshock, enough said there. I legit want them to bring back ripper’s foggy zone, it could make him an actual meta character for the first time in years. Last one that comes to mind is probably back when Merc had 5 elbow pads, life sucked back then XD

Nah cuz the bots change is straight up the most annoying. I was on a good winning streak and got into a bot match that almost ruined it. They are horrible and you can even get the deductions done correctly.

Agreed. Even the places the characters were put on in Ashes of Memories seem brighter and lost the oppresive enviroment we had in time of reunion. Like idv rectified it's place as a horror game with the gruesome, the violence, the everything in TOR but then it got scrapped in AOM??? 🙃 Maybe aom was a rushed product, since we were waiting for TOR for 4 years back in the day

Yeah, as a dream witch main, it was horrendous and they just kept nerfing her to the ground. A lot of people say she’s S tier, but she’s literally just a hell ember. People just don’t know how to play against her because no one plays her and then cry about how op she is. She’s not rewarding to play anymore.😊

Not even joking the bot matches actually made me so annoyed it made me to go play rank. I’ve been playing IDV since November 2018 and I never found any interest in rank match. But after getting 5 bot matches in a row I was so sick I went to go play rank and now I’m Griffin 3

Same for me. I wasn't interested in survivor rank and every season my rank tier was falling little by little. I was Elk 2 or something and I noticed that I was getting bot matches too often I mean a lot! It was so annoying and not enjoyable too. After a few research someone said if you are below tier 4 you get bot matches. So I had to play surv rank eventually. 🥲

I didn’t mind flywheel simply because we really needed a fourth final persona trait that people ACTUALLY USED. Hunters got them, survivors needed them too. And it needed to be good so that people would use them. I wasn’t playing when it first came out tho, so idk how annoying it was at first

I dont really mind the new lore that much, because its supposed to be a flashback of Orpheus' last major game, 10 years before the other lore. But i really get what you mean when we lost the little dark vibes we had left. Despite never using it, the detective lobby always felt nostalgic of when i thought this was a horror game

I just started playing Identity V this week, so idrk if I have room to say anything, but I honestly kinda hate the bots. I pretty much always get bots when I’m killer, and it’s like 50/50 when I play as survivor. It sucks not being able to interact w your teammates in a round, send chat bubbles, etc. It just takes away so much of the fun. I mean.. sure sometimes it’s nice when a bot is a killer cause you can pretty easily escape them n get basically ‘free’ points, but I’d rather die from a player knowing I got a good challenge. That’s the only way I’m truly gonna get better at the game.

The thing I hate the most about the new lore is how they made the game “realistic”. It was so amusing to read hunters’ backstories, which were more like an urban legends or creepy stories. Hunters felt like damaged souls with tragic fate, considering the fact that 80% of hunters were dead according to the og lore. Like hell, we had Dream Witch and Hastur being literal ancient gods, Michiko and Robbie being ghosts, Smiley and Jack being actual maniacs, while only some of them were human somehow (Violetta, Burke, Bane etc.) Now they’re just some hallucinations of a bunch of people bcs of drugs… At least we got a hotter version of Luchino, idk…

Im glad they at least made bots in match better. But lord increase the time before you get bots in a match its so dumb getting them after just 3mins also lighting changes in maps annoy me so much. I get it, some people dont like dark maps. But make it an option to keep the old darker atmosphere if you want don't delete it. (rip darkwoods) I used to be able to start a match in High Quality, go down to low, then back up to high and it would give me a nice darker atmosphere but this was fixed a little bit ago. Still not over it and so I choose to use filters on my pc to make the maps darker. Also high quality is STUPID bright now so I almost never use it anymore.

I’m glad the lore part is talked about, after a year long break, when I came back to the game sometime in 2023 to see that the detective Orpheus lore was just completely replaced by ashes of memory I felt very sad, I had always enjoyed the lore and really liked the whole detective going to investigate the manor thing, even my brother(who used to play in 2018-2020 but then quit) was super confused and saddened that detective Orpheus was replaced by Alice. Also I don’t remember what the trait was before flywheel, what was the trait again?

DW nerf was so deserved, she was just busted in high tier, get one free hit, and ez down with patroller or blink, the only viable solution was nerfing her free hits, u can still get a free hit if u manage to walk into her or if she traps u vaulting a window, hard hard was dw when she released without trump card

I’m not sure if this counts as a “change” but Percy’s release had people furious due to the fact his play style changed how the game was played (having people bleed out instead of the rocket chairs). Percy is now a low-tier hunter, but back then it he had low-tier players in a chokehold and it made the game miserable to play.

Camping is typically how the game is supposed to be played. Some hunters excel at camping, while some survivors excel at rescuing from camping hunters. All of the roles work together in a way.

Yeah it's really hard to win without camping as hunter. Even hunters that excell in chasing tend to merely "pressure" ciphers, no full on change.
