My theory: the hospital is the coma stage/middle, top floor is peace/heaven/afterlife, basement is more of hell/life (which now is no less than hell). People in the hospital were there only because their death was not natural. The nurses who were trying to make them stay in hospital are the ones who are trying to prolong their lifespan in the actual hospital. Rest as you explained, the main character had to choose if he wants to live (hell) or find peace (heaven). If he would have gone down, may be he would have come back to life, i.e., out of coma… But idk, just a theory… 🤔

Maybe what is implied in the film is actually state of mind of people when they are in coma because when the main character and the girl went out through the door both of them died but they reached heaven

Story was superb..!! I personally love films that have metaphorical meaning. But as you said, if the acting and direction comes out weak then It'll be a problem. So overall without watching the film I wanna rate 7 out of 10 just for the story.

The way you have explained this movie. I'd like to rate this film a solid 9/10 as per my genre taste. I'm absolutely amazed by its plotting. This looks like astral world or things which might be happening with a coma patient. Recently on my goa trip I was super drunk i was traveling solo somehow i managed to reach my hotel safely and the moment i hit my bed I started to see strange things and stanger people it was nothing as horrific as this movie but it felt like i was living those moments in reality.. no joke i was seeing visions or you can say dreaming with my eyes wide open. Oh my god.. this horrendous hangover lasted till the dawn .. hard relate 💯💯

basically he was in coma, the 2 characters lily and vigil are not different people they are part of sams mind, lily tells sam to rage with her that is getting lost in rage and eventually die, vigil says if they talk to people calmy or peacefully then he will help him, so he is taking the good side of humans. i personally believe that both sam and the girl are dead, the hospital or state of coma was their last moments and those who chose good died in peace those who dont died in pain, the concept is a bit lame and i think its 2 out of 10 even without actually watching the movie i can tell the movie was a bit slow laggy and with some bad acting
