Me too, I had a 2006 174hp 2.5 4motion but crashed it a couple of years ago. I replaced it with a 2016 204TSI T6. Runs silky smooth but a 4-pot will never sound as sweet as a 5 cylinder.

Firstly under boost, led to removing the turbo to inspect the waste gate and actuator. We found the exhaust manifold broken where the turbo connects. Replaced ex manifold with a cast iron part. Fitted a reman turbo. Still limp mode. Changed the N75 vacuum control valve and the MAP sensor. A bit better but still limp mode. Found the cat removed and the EGR valve blanked off. ( I live in South Africa) we don't have a problem with that. So sent it to a chap to do an EGR delete. Still limp mode. I have since found a young chap who is very in tune with tuning and adjusting the ECU. He discovered the EGR delete was either not done or let's say it was unsuccessful. Just waiting for the Xmas period to pass bye, then book it in to go onto a Dyno so that my young computer geek can do his thing. Oh yes, after the turbo and manifold were changed it was reading an over boost.... We adjusted the rod between the waste gate actuator and the waste gate lever. Now it sometimes lumps in Over boost and sometimes under boost. Oh boy if only I could get the best settings. The 2.5 5cyl has lots of power and runs very well when it's not in " limp mode!"

@@Dan23_7 yeah bro they was mint cars. I had the 4 speed semi automatic clutch less gears in mine or I could just use drive as well. Mine was mint condition brought it off an old guy who was the original owner from new. Mine was red with black leather. I was sat at home one day having tea, heard loads of police sirens. Some 13 year old stolen his uncles bmw tried swerving to avoid a car turning right he lost control and plowed straight into the side of my car. Pushed it up a 7 inch kerb, through someone's fence and into a wall. Was a complete write off. Police said he was to young to prosecute and that he was only doing 30mph (unfortunately I live in new Zealand where it's not law to have insurance) i was young and dumb at the time and didnt have insurance on my alfa. So in theory the drive would have had to pay for both cars, but cos he was so young, i just had to cut my losses and wrote the car off :( i was fucking gutted.

can you imagine taking your shitty 1.6 tdi to these guys for a regular oil change and filters. you would end up with Stage 2 tune, Egr delete, DPF removed and mapped out, upgraded turbo, and some big ass stiff suspension. You turn up to expecting to take you shitty car away and pay around 200 pounds for a regular service. You jump in the car, you turn it on, then you realised that you have been driving a laughable car. they look at you and laugh !!!
