Hi. I live in California US and it's against the law to have a silencer unless it it either factory made or non removable. Or if it is welder on or pinned. But for us, that won't work because we can't even have the silence mailed here to do the job. So, my question is, why don't manufacturers make air guns with undetectable silencers? I think that there are 6 states that don't allow the unless they are made that way. Also, do you know of ant air pistols that are made with a non removable moderator?

You can use any silencer with any barrel

CP2 has a non standard 10mm thread rather than 1/2" UNF so you would need an adaptor for most silencers.

When changing the barrels I always remove the grub screws, first time i left in and i messed up the barrel O-ring :(

Thanks. Really disappointed there is no info on performance of CO2 vs PCP versions. Shot count, power, etc. I have the CO2 and a whole PCP eco system with rifles, pumps etc, and I still have no idea if it is worth doing a purchase/upgrade.

Performance wise they are about the same - 30-40 shots around 5/8.5 ft/lb. I'll stick with my Co2, not worth the upgrade but still a very good little gun for the money.

Hi can you tell me if the pistol becomes a rifle when the stock is fitted I don't like the long barrel but want to do mods for more FPS 👍

I believe the answer is yes, it would be a rifle (carbine) with the stock BUT if you tune it and later remove the stock you will have a very illegal pistol- be careful.

Strange, in Germany the pistol is sold as a Diana Bandit Black (but without a long barrel). And strictly speaking it is a Bandit with a Chaser grip and stock. But what concerns me more is that my Black Bandit only manages about two magazines from 200bar to 100bar at about 6J. Is that normal?

Can you explain how this gets past UK law? Is it a pistol or a rifle?

UK airgun law dictates what is a pistol vs what is a rifle via length i believe. When you attach the stock and the longer barrel its technically a rifle so it legally can bypass the 6ft/lb air pistol law up to the 12 ft/lb air rifle law. I'm not 100% sure if you just attach just the longer barrel (and not the stock) if its classified as a rifle or pistol, so that might be a sticky legal area. To be completely compliant just make sure you attach both when using the longer barrel

That was my thought too. If you put the longer barrel on without the rifle it could be classified as a pistol unless there is an actual legal definition of barrel length of what is considered a pistol.

Great test but 99% of people who get this gun will fit a scope 2 it. Accuracy test should of really been done with a scope on board

Well, thanks for that review. PCP version (or any PCP) is not for me. However, regardless of PCP/C02 what is the power as a pistol with the long barrel on or is that not possible? Clearly if it's over 6 ft/lb then it's illegal. If it's under 6 ft/lb then it'll be under that with the 'rifle' stock on. Confusing. Possible legal nightmare.

I would think in this case, similar to how a firearm is classified, it goes on the barrel length and not the overall look. So the longer barrel classifies it as a rifle regardless of whether the stock is attached.

You can't use it as a pistol with the long barrel in the UK as it will be over the 6ft/lbs max limit.
