I first started playing ac when city folk was in the wii and I loved it, I then played new leaf which I was obsessed with and Happy Home designer. I got new horizons pretty much as soon as it came out because I was so excited ❤

Wild World was my first AC game and I've played them all since, so the GC version is the only one I've never played. ACNH is the first AC game that's available in Dutch, so my mom (who doesn't speak English) finally gets to play too ♥ Sometimes she asks me about previous AC games and it's so weird thinking back about the games where we couldn't decorate outside.. until finally ACNL came along and we had to actually carefully plan- and pay for every bench and street light and then pay Lloid just like we do now for bridges.. and they couldn't be moved afterwards, only demolished, just like bridges and inclines now. And you were allowed what, 10? 15? items outside, that was the limit 😆 But in the even older games, you couldn't even do that much.. and it made me wonder.. what the heck did I DO all day? In ACNL it was definitely mini games with friends on Tortimer's island a LOT and I really miss that 🥺 I also really miss the ability to customize the Town Hall (aka Resident Services) and the train station (which of course is an airport now). I was fully expecting them to bring that feature back in the 2.0 update but then they didn't :/ Even if we could've just painted our airport in one of the other already existing colors, that would've been huge to me.. but.. nope. VERY curious to see what the next AC game will be like! For now, Lex, good luck with your new island! How exciting! ^-^

I have an enchanted island and I have dubbed some of my villagers as witches. Specifically, Diane is my white witch and Diva is my swamp witch. Other magical villagers include Ione, Julian, Coco, and the enchanted teddy, Stitches. Shino isn’t really magical to me but she’s on my island too lol

my first one was population growing on gamecube! it was such a big inspiration to me as a kid, and i always go back to that soundtrack when playing acnh LMAO it's so funky and fun and different and often times i miss the spice of it (not just in villager attitudes but just the eclectic nature)

And I absolutely hated Ed lol!!😂 That dang horse was always found stalking my house and always painted my roof poo poo brown when I told him my favorite color was blue, whenever he asked lol.🤣🤣🤣 When my brother played, Ed would ask him about my favorite color, because he wanted to paint my roof, and my brother always said blue!😂 Now whenever I see Ed in New Horizons, the trauma comes back, lol.😂 Good 'ol Nintendo GameCube days baby!!!😆 Whoop whoop!!🙌🏾

I just restarted my island 2 days ago and I’m gonna be doing a tropical city resort island (inspired by some islands :3!!) my layout is quite nice actually I have a lovely open area by my airport then I’ll probs make the road turn into a corner to resident services or make a crosswalk to it. So I'm a very old player lol Also seeing Papi made me miss my own island, I haven't played in a while T~T Btw, I could be wrong, but I heard that if you don't have a vaulting pole or ladder in your pockets then the mystery islands won't spawn any where you can't gain access to the villager there.
