the mod that turns the fish into different colours actually help a lot it colour's the fish based on their rarity (ex. blue: rare, pink/purple: epic)

They could add grapes only (since there’s already a grape basket and a plate of grapes in the game.) But they can’t add in alcohol because the game is supposed to be rated E. Alcohol would lead the game to get a higher rating.

​@@MinerGameroneinonly I doubt the existence of wine would do that, but Japanese games do seem to be especially delicate about that kind of thing. I'm reminded of how in Apollo Justice the tutorial case conspicuously has "grape juice" served in wine bottles in a bar. And that games rated a 16 (presumably for all the talk of murders) so I really really doubt mentioning alcohol would have pushed it any higher.

That skybox mod just turned it into the truman show. Think about it, a smaller community, isolated, people around you are all super accommodatimg and seem act in an odd, staged manner sometimes, and most importantly, everything in their lives revolves around YOU. The player, the one person who does whatever you want, whenever and however you want to.

Having just recently gotten into game modding on my modded switch, seeing this makes me so infinitely happy

speaking as the author of the new mystery island plus mod I can say that it isn't exactly the same as the original because I choose to just even out the probability of the islands but I did add some islands that didn't exist in the original as it looks like Nintendo added more islands around when the island designer dlc was released but choose to keep them disabled so all in all it has about 4-6 new islands on top of what the original mystery island plus mod already added. PS the islands are labelled as numbers internally so I can't actually say if the newly added islands are something special or just additional variations and layouts of the standard islands... Either way though the rare flower island and such make it worthwhile anyways.

I know it's super late to add this, but the reason you weren't seeing fish and bugs appear on day 12 is because you were quite likely under the catch limit for each to unlock the rarer ones, thus stopping most bugs/fish from spawning. Also, that font mod is extremely cursed

maybe youve already heard this and decided against it, but one thing ive seen other youtubers do for nintendo modded content is to unlist the video in japan. they seem to police that kind of content a lot less if its not even available in the country, since their copyright laws are a lot more strict over there. i know this cuz im currently living in japan and have to use a vpn to watch some videos. they seem to stay up for longer tho! just what ive heard
