I'm over here struggling trying to do Cactuar Crush 2 & 4 on hard mode with Aerith, not even getting close to the 6k points needed, and here you are making me look like a complete noob, I mean i have platinumed games like Dark Souls, Sekiro, Bloodbourne and Elden Ring and a bunch of other games but yet these challenges and the cactuar crush is killing me. There are people who will comment "Tifa is so broken", yeah sure but if you tried soloing this challenge, it ain't that simple especially with Gilgamesh one mistake and he can fck you up. Edit: Awesome as always Aethertruck! you don't even need the ATB boost and jump materia.

The ratio of how fast unfettered fury state uppercut cancel gives her ATB is unmatched and then the fact that you can divekick from uppercut which gives extra ATB is also crazy good I don't think anyone can beat the time of perfect Tifa execution others just don't generate enough ATB and have fast animations to spam their skills

Could replace those with 2 luck ups, darkside, and idk what else, magic up might add some damage in unfettered? You can make her more of a glass Cannon but I need her to be able to survive a little for these fights

Before going to the rulers of the world myself, I’ve been personally playing with each summon individually in full might and I am yet to produce the damage output necessary to defeat kujata before it triggers its tri attack. I have to admit the only ability i’m missing in the dragon claws is the weapon atb ability. I may need to reset tifa’s current skill book since I haven’t gotten all her manuscripts yet but could this be the only factor? If i focus only on divekick, i wont be staggering it anytime soon. He’ll die before I can stagger it. Is this the best way to go? I have been indeed practicing it with tifa alone but perhaps with a full party i won’t have any issues. And yet, all i want is to master these summons separately to get to the real challenge: gilgamesh. I’m gonna swift through your vids to see if you have a guide on him that doesn’t rely so much on perfect blocking timing because i haven’t mastered that. Any advice on gilgamesh? You kill him pretty quick.

The double summons have each less health than the full power summons. That's how they balance it out. Like 50k each. Full power Kujata has more than that. Getting weapon level 9 is a huge boost because it increases the power of the weapons. So that's important even without the last unlockable weapon trait. I have a 13 minute guide on Gilgamesh hidden away inside my 50 minute long beginner's guide to the whole boss rush. It uses a beefy build with Barret as the main played character. No intentional perfect blocking is used, just a lot of tactical pausing and explaining what to when he uses his moves. You can adapt it with other characters if you like though.

How are you building a ton of ATB with your basic attack? Are you doing a cancel of some sort?

hold square => block, hold square => block. It cancels her jump upward + uppercut animation.

Yeah. Needs unfettered fury level 3 (rage and fall). It gives her some special attacks. The first is a combo ender that spawns an aerial chi trap that is absurd for building stagger. The second is an uppercut cancel that builds a lot of ATB

This could easily be pushed under 4 minutes, with fewer mistakes and better choices. I wasted at least 20 seconds on Gilgamesh and 20 more on Sephiroth. But thank you lol. If TAS was able to play this I'd bet it could be pushed under 3 minutes.

@@aethertruck I think if you 1-cycle Phoenix and can pressure Sephiroth before he enters Affinity: Fire, you might be able to get to sub 3, but it would be really tight.

Solo summons have more HP than the dual fights. That's how they balance it. They have 34k-60k health each here. Then Gilg and Seph have 120k+.

This build is broken and evidence enough that the Rebirth devs did not spend enough time on balancing, (unless they wanted a meta with such high dps). Even if that's all true, this is still very impressive and I would struggle to replicate it :)

It's really just Tifa. I know several players could beat this time by using Tifa, but I don't think a TAS could beat this time with any other solo character. I'd love to be wrong though.
