Is this the Rarest Event in Stellaris?

This is what we know about the Signal from the Centre of the Galaxy event in Stellaris the grand strategy game by Paradox Interactive. This is one of, if not the most rare event in the game. You need to be playing voids for it to even have a chance of spawning!

Actually you only get it 99.9% of the time because strangely enough if you manage to destroy your empire before you get the event you won't end up getting the event for unknown and seemingly unrelated reasons.

The rarest could be the "rock migraine" anomaly with the "proper" outcome: 1: Get the "rock migraine" anomaly event 2: If you are playing as Lithoids, you get the "it is like us" option when solving it 3: If you are playing as necromancers on top of all the previous, you get the "send in the necromancers" option 4: after some time and society research, you get your very own pet rock that you can control

They're suprisingly common in MP, I think we've had at least 3 in Community games, and often mean very bad news for us players

I used to have this problem. Someone suggested I avoid researching jump drives before 2425. After I did that, I had the opposite issue where I get a war in heaven more often than not lol.

Another incredibly rare event is when you send a Knight of the Toxic God through the portal to the hell dimension, and he comes back leading a demonic invasion. I know it can happen, but I've never even seen a recording of it.

A year ago i had an event when i pissed off a fallen empire for laughs, they decimated half my regions, before i got iirc "it was something like "from a different space time something something your species" it destroyed all the fallen empires vessels in my territory and forced peace with me.

Fun fact, the rarest event in Stellaris is actually a reference to hitchhikers guide to the galaxy, in which one of your scientists manages to get a towel, making them a very good explorer. I'm not sure if it is still in the game with the relatively recentish leader trait rework, but then again, I've only heard it talked about in a couple of videos, since it pretty much requires data mining and console use to spawn it in. Iirc it has like, a 1/100,000 chance to spawn naturally or some such insanity.

@@TheRedKing Looked it up, the event is called STAY CALM. You can find the trigger conditions in an Aspec video from a couple years ago, the rarest events in Stellaris part 2. And yes it's super rare, you gotta get an anomaly on a desert planet, and then roll a 1/100 and then another 1/100 in order to get it.

Probably wait it out; Stellaris has a history of having aliens doing weird alien stuff. Perhaps this is a test to see if we're "worthy?" Besides, these somewhat aloof introverts did mention that others tried to (presumably) attack them. While I'm sure our Titans would be able to handle any one of their ships, we simply do not have the capacity to field enough should these xenos prove to be technologically close to the Fallen Empires - a distinct possibility since they are apparently older than two Galactic Cycles.

It was nice that they gave free slaves, and the aid they later requested was minor indeed. Plus the researcher is a nice bonus. Ignore the silly habitat-dwellers, we have nothing to gain from such arrogant creatures, and the only territory we know they have is but one system in total. Yeah Horizon Signal has become incredibly rare since they patched out the cheese strat to trigger it. I've not seen it happen since, which is over 2000h ago iirc. And in that chain it tends to be better to avoid said alteration. There ain't enough eldritch story packs in the game like that; at least there's mods like Gigas and More Events to add.

The density of the stars around the supermassive black hole could come from the space that is bend by the black hole. Since mass has the effect to expand space (and time) around it. Looking towards a black hole could create the perception that stars are denser around it, while in reality the mass of the supermassive black hole has expanded the space around it. This effect increases with closer distance to the black hole, so what we expect to see is that stars around a black hole are positioned more dense around a black hole. U have the same effect when u put equidistant dots on a sheet, stretch it from the edges, and then put a weight in the middle so that it hangs through. u see the dots colluding together around the "black hole". Has nothing to do with stars being born.

btw the same effect is that stars around a black hole look younger. Since time around a black hole passes slower compared to us, far away from the black hole. This is a huge effect! Assuming Saggitarius A had existed at the big bang (which it probably had not, but this is just a simple estimate in scale of the time difference) a sun 10^4AU far away from SagA would have experienced a whopping 20% of the age of the universe time difference to us on earth. Thats why suns look so much younger and fresher when we look near SagA

Portal world event. You find a portal on a planet to an alternate dimension (mirror universe) where they use hyperspace travel instead of warp travel. It doesn’t happen anymore because they made hyperspace travel the default game method of ftl travel I believe. Or was it the other way around ? I forget.

Fun fact! (or possibly just a normal fact) did you know you could get this on the console edition? Cause I didn't. I was just messing around one day just doing whatever I was doing that day (I forgot) then 50 years in cause I wanted to have a fast game that Day I got the event and i was very confused also i didn't realize just how rare this events was at the time and I was recording to but unfortunately i got bored of that save and deleted it to this day i still regret deleting that save also i think you need to have the void dwellers origin on. (if I'm not wrong at least) And that was my second time playing with that origin so not only was I extremely lucky. But because I didn't know much about the event at the time I had no idea what to do at all so yeah. Oh almost forgot to mention I deleted the recordings I made during that session so now I have no proof or even anything related to that session so yeah that happened. TLDR: I got lucky and got the Crystalline Empire on my second try without even trying or knowing how rare it was and deleted everything I had related to this without realizing how rare said event was. This took way to long to write I hope you see this Red King!

I hate to be pedantic, but at 0:20, it's pronounced A* (A Star). This is because it was identified as a very compact and non-thermal radio source, differentiating it from the brighter region it's within, which is actually called Sagittarius A. Sagittarius A* star is the black hole, Sagittarius A is a region of space known for it's radio wave emission. It isn't a big deal, I just really like big celestial objects and can be a bit of a stickler about them. It also wasn't possible for it to diminish my enjoyment of the video anyway!

The wormhole connects to the wider galaxy on a random spawn, and I never did invade... I ran the game for about 50 years and nothing further happened so I called it a day. I suspect you can destroy the station just as an enclave station and nothing more will happen.

What’s weird is that it’s been a while since these guys were added, and despite us getting more content involving with the Center of the Galaxy and it indeed having a Crystalline theme…the Enpire is nowhere to be found. I have a few theories on them as I am very fascinated in them: 1. They are beings from the Shroud who have gained physical form…the problem is that their pops don’t have psychic abilities, and their Habitat looks like very conventional technology, not Unbidden type energy constructs… 2. They are a Cosmogenesis Empire who have successfully transformed a Galaxy into a Paradise of their own making. They still use their Ascension Needle to travel different Dimensions and our Galaxy is their newest arrival…only problem with this is that they say if they told us more about their Homeland “that would be the end of it” and i don’t know how a galaxy would be destroyed by us just knowing about it… The weird thing is that there really isn’t anything that comes to mind where “if you knew about it it’s destroyed” Materialists can learn about the Shroud, that doesn’t “end” it… I wouldn’t be surprised if the Shroud is involved, but they aren’t psychic…and the Shroud isn’t ended by us knowing about it… these guys are so strange!! I hope their story is continued in a future update or something.

Strangely it doesn't exactly feel like a scammer. They dump some of their people on you then ask for resources, and it's actually quite little. If they were scamming they'd go higher. My guess is either it's genuinely a joke meant to waste your time, or these are simply the strangest of races, who have no ability to do anything for themselves but consider everyone lower than them just cause they've been around a long time.
