If you think the average joe Trump voter even understands what this all means you are mistaken. Most Trump voters were fooled by the anti-establishment rhetoric, as misleading as that was. Most Trump supporters are your neighbours, your friends your family. They were sick of the status quo. Right or wrong what they have done cannot be undone. You shouldn't look down on them, that is why so many came out to vote for Trump. Being condescending is easy, being understanding clearly isn't. Both options, Hillary and Trump were terrible. I live in Holland, Michigan. I've driven past Dick Devos' mansion many times. I've seen his ridiculously large sailing yacht. My grandfather had heart surgery at Spectrum in Grand Rapids, but hey, even stopped clocks work twice a day. This is all too familiar. Devos tried to gain the governorship back in 2006 and failed and I seriously hope this family crashes and burns to the ground. They have enacted many awful policies in my state and home and I hope they reap what they have sown, because this is a national- no, International embarrassment, and I am so pissed that my home will now be known for being "The place where democracy came to die". Okay-maybe that's a bit melodramatic, but so glad this facade is starting to crack.
