Though I personally think that they are the next big thing after superheroes just treat material with modicum respect. (And avoid Uwe Boll) Though for now there is lore and very little in the way of plot in Hunt so writers can spread their wings. And Hunt is very diverse soo there is no problem on this front.

The box in the tidal murmurs video contains loot from the Delphine - the boat that shipwrecked in the Bayou during the Tide of Shadows event. The Delphine's loot will likely be the collectables of the next event.

I would love a 13 episode anthology show. The first twelve episodes are the back story of different legendary hunters and the final episode is an actual hunt match. The 12 get split into groups of 3 and we all get to root for our favorite team.

I think it would be an interesting feature for hunters to have voice lines similar to battlefield. Like when you ping sonething for starters, just to give a tad more immersion. I've said for a long time now, how i wish at least the legendary hunters had their own distinct sound for when they take damage, die or whatever. Yes, it could cause fights to go differently, but would be super cool, in my opinion.

I would love more lore exploration. Between all the armament and monster book flavor text, character back stories, plus the event stories and such with the events that occur in the AHA there's plenty of stuff to get into even if there's no multi media franchise. Just neat lore

I know it may not happen, but with more additions of voice acting, it would be so cool to have some dialogue that you can make your hunter say or things they say in reaction to things similar to the banter in something like Darktide. Would be a nice little addition!

What I'd love would be some ingame voicelines from legendary (or just normal hunters corresponding to their tier). You could have them where you know people wouldnt hear them I.e. Start of Game, at extract, at the boss when there is no one around (white signal).

I know it'd be super expensive, especially to do retroactively, but unique voice lines for legendary hunters like champions in League of Legends, legends in Apex, or operators in Call of Duty could add a lot of flavor and also be used as a natural in-game medium to flesh out the lore.

I don't think I need / want some hunt showdown universe - but some exploration of the setting and more cool visual work is absolutely welcome. This is a setting that is ripe for interesting stories. The question is if they can develop interesting and compelling characters in a setting that treats them as disposable - where death is cheap. It's not conducive to long form stories, but it doesn't need to be. Shows like "Poker Face" don't feature a consistent cast aside from Natasha Lyonne and can get very experimental in their format, and I think Hunt's setting would be conducive to something of that sort. Hopefully they aren't too self serious though, cause the setting can definitely be a bit grimdark.

If they do something to expand the world building out of game, I hope they go beyond the bayou. We all love Lousiana, but more locations would offer more directions that the story and action could go with different monsters inspired by different folklore and such. The game was originally going to be "Hunt, Horrors of the Gilded Age", which gives off a sort of global feel to it, like the AHA and other factions traipsing around the world.

I want the HSCU so very much. Cowboys and weird west just doesnt have the representation I'd like. Alternate history is so fascinating. Plus it lets us wish for actors to be the hunters. I don't know if Live Action is better than CGI, but I'd pop hard for some Weird West Briscoe County Jr action.

The only thing im 100% interested in right now is how much that engine upgrade that they have annonced a bit back can provide in terms of freedom for the devs. Can it allows hunt to have a randomized weather/time of day where you can start at night time and mid match it's dawn or starting a sunny map which slowly get shallowed by the fog ? Can it allows more active entities (similar to doors or shutter) per server ? How about breakable walls then (pre determined zones shown to be weaker/prone to break) ? Can it allows more fauna like vultures flying circle around hunters who stays in the same place for too long ? They haven't developped much on that upgrade and yet it's the most interesting thing in my eyes.

I feel like what this game would actually have a ball with, would be like a zombies game mode, sort of like a campaign where you take control of named hunters like Hardin, or marshal brewer, or other key players in the story. They could do game modes of compound hopping and defending areas and mini bosses to really get us invested in not just where the AHA went but where the AHA currently is and what they’re doing

I believe that Hunt would fit perfectly as an animated series similar in style to cyberpunk's anime (I mean mostly the atmosphere, but to be fair if it could be drawn kinda like the comic, then maybe even make it as anime completely) What's more, that could make crytek a lot of money if they would later release DLC hunters throughout the release of such series with each episode. Just think of the rebirth of Cyberpunk that followed the series and how players were searching apartments of the characters from the show as well as making characters that looked like their favorites from the show. In my case I would be tempted with each episode to buy DLC, but most likely I would wait for the end and then buy DLC hunter of my favorite character from the show (also the show itself would generate revenue if it would be as good as cyberpunk or Arkane)

Honestly was hyped about the potential hunt series coming up since i first heard about it and still am. I just hope it doesnt go down the rabbit hole of modern adaptions as we see on netflix, disney and alike... In my opinion it needs to be gritty and dark just as hunt is! No trashy oneliners and unrealistic action that we can only laugh about. And obviously i would like a story that actually tells something other than: oh no, there is monsters around the bayou, we need to kill them to save the world kinda stuff :)

Feel like not a lot of people read the mastery books. There's a lot of lore in there that can be adapted in a 3rd party medium. For example i particularly like snakeskin chambers and his journey with his nagants

I was talking to a friend about hunt the other day and how it would be fun if you could play characters from django and even princess mononoke. I know that it sounds a lot like fortnite but i think the characters kinda fit in with the rest of the legendary hunters. Im aware this is not where crytek is going with their game. I would love a Hunt universe. But it has to be BRUTAL. Noone is safe, noone are Heros, and your favorite character can die at anytime for any reason Game of thrones style. So that the story reflects the gameplay in a way.

I'd like some more lore (although i dont need it bc hunters die anyways and mostly dont get big characters), but im not sure if they habe the budget to pull smt bigger off with their budget. I love the dark atmosphere of the game and if a CU would be kinda janky i think it would damage the feel of the game more than it would help. But if theyre confident they can do it, why not

Am I the only one noticing the effort on facial animations? There were close to none until then, to me it hints towards more efforts in the story telling in videos, at the very least. As for a series, who's to say ? I sure hope so !

It would make very little sense for the box to be the "first insect" considering rotjaw only is in the "living world" due to having it rammed down its throat causing her and the ship to return to the bayou. But hell, they come up with whatever they want anyway, consistency be damned. There´s too many actually good storylines that end in nothing, but instead we get ghost ship. Not actually in the game mind you, just on paper.

My biggest issue with the lore of Hunt is that it feels so detached from the game itself. I don't really feel like engaging with it, even though I feel like I would like it. Having to not play the game in order to catch up with it is the main issue. If for example there were small tidbits of lore during loading screens or you could read the lore books in a match, that would make it much more approachable.

Honestly I don't care about fleshing out the lore. I liked it better when it was very vague. It was a lot more mysterious that way. Seems like the lore is just a way to tie in more DLC to buy. I'd rather it be more maps than more and different events. Even then, what if they *changed* current maps by doing things like degrading buildings or flooding areas, similar to how the inferno maps blocked areas and made places inaccessible.. I'd rather keep the gameplay changing through those types of things than just dropping events and DLC skins.

I hope Crytex doesn’t give exclusive rights to any one studio. It would be annoying if Netflix got the rights and then did one season and canceled. I’d rather limited rights to Amazon or just allow creators to do limited projects. Some animator might want to do shorts on KZbin while a studio might want to do something live action

I think it would be best to keep the voice acting done to a minimum. Would be much more in-line with the style they've had so far, it will save them money, and there's much less room for error. I'm sure there's a way to make neat cinematics with minimal speaking.

At the 17 minute mark of your last interview with David Fifield, he explains perfectly why any attempt at a "cinematic universe" for Hunt would be a complete failure financially and creatively. He's probably too busy with development to notice why Disney is heading towards bankruptcy right now, or why The Witcher series is the laughing stalk and bleeding money, and how Amazon just burned $1 Billion (not an exaggeration) on Rings of Power only to have it see a 90+% drop off in viewership after episode 1. Entertainment for the sake of "diversity, equity & inclusion" is NOT entertainment, and even the people who think it can be good entertainment don't spend their money & time on it to watch because their too busy on twitter telling everybody else how racist and homophobic they are. So no, Crytek should not bother with anything live action right now because their creative minds are infected with identity politics.

To be honest: I don’t care. The game is awesome and my most played game. But: The story is so bad! It is really cringe, boring, basic and uninteresting. It is the classic: „We have a game and need some sort of storytelling“-Story that most games have. It is the worst part of the game by far. It is so bad that I don’t see anything good coming out of it. And I really made the effort to try to fallow what they were doing with it, because I am a developer myself. And for some reason they managed to make the story even worse over time, despite having only visual clues in the beginning. Feels like cringe teenagers are working on the story. Sorry for the ranting, but it’s a shame.
