I picked up the Sachse in Black Micarta and Satin blade from WMK…I took it apart and polished the liners and plungers and bearings (OCD) and it’s ridiculously stupid smooth. Honestly it’s SO crazy the value you get out of this knife and it took a screaming sharp edge. Highly recommend

I have the Jade one. It is almost an exact copy of the Cogent. The Jade Cogent cost me like $70 and the Jade Sencut was $45! Can slightly tell the difference but if I was blindfolded I couldn't tell. Thanks MC!

@@timnichol6566 I'm gonna sell the Cogent and the Conspirator is the last one for me to acquire to check out. I had the other 2. I really enjoyed the Altus. I just murdered out my Altus and traded it for a black Micarta XL begleiter button lock. I was not a big fan of the Chevalier.

Just ordered a sachse. Before watching your video I was considering grinding off the flipper. Glad to know I'm not the only one who thinks it would improve the knife

I grabbed two as soon as WMK dropped them, I'm glad I did as they sold out quick. 81 dollars shipped for two excellent budget button locks that was the deal of the year. Literally for the cost of one civivi button lock I got two sencut button locks that Literally feel identical to the civivi button locks.. and the 9cr does pretty dang good in my testing and takes a Lazer edge with minimal effort. Reprofiling to 15dps and Getting 9cr hair whittling takes me about 15 mins from start to finish, 20 mins if I wanted to do a full mirror edge but 9cr doesn't like to be mirrored as it looses its bite.

Though I might not know eccsachsely how they would pronounce it, I’d be tempted to pick one of those micarta handled ones up. Love the textured look of that handle. One could file down the tab flush to the handle (when opened) to make it look even better? 🤔

Nice video as always, MC, however, I'm unable to see any advantages of these over, say, the Vosteed Raccoon or Valkyrie EDCs. They are some of the best, highest quality, most robust and sharpest EDCs I've used. Of course, please enlighten me with your wisdom...Thank you!

I have the same knife, I’m thinking I was pretty lucky getting my hands on one so soon from WMK, as they are now out of stock. Mine has some lock stick, but I like the action being smooth and drop shutty. It’s a good value for about $45.

I have the black Micarta and I bought a shorter black clip for it. I like it only problem is extreme lock stick. Especially if I open it with the thumb studs 😢... Hopefully it goes away with time

Sorry Metal you gonna hate my for saying this. That cheap $45 button lock 🔐 probably locks up way better than the Protech Malibu. Ima buy one just to see how strong the lock up is. Loved the video 📹 still.

Could you do a top 10 work, survival, apocalypse knives that you’d carry? We are talking durable, dirt in the action, resharpen for years in the field type knives. I’m a sucker for a good drop shut bearing knife but I am looking for something I can tuck into my combat pants and go hiking with, knowing that it’s got my back.

Why do all these knife companies name their knives these crazy names that no one knows how to pronounce lol My all-time favorite button lock was one of the first ones to do it. The Alliance Designs Mini Slim Pickens. I've never owned one but have handled a few. They really nailed the button lock on that knife.

Sock-see? Everyone should do non-flipper versions of everything. Love both my Kizer Swaggs sway backs with both a flipper and only thumbstuds. Did you cut your thumb? What bit you? Also, 9cr18mov is awesome at that price point, especially with a good action button lock. Time for more Gatorade now.

Rit dyemore is pretty inexpensive and works well with g10

I died a G10 handle purple and it took well. I could only find the Ritdye for synthetic fabrics with the color I wanted but as I stated it was nice. Watch a couple videos on it. You want to do it in a vented area. I did mine in the kitchen and had to get a box fan to get more air flowing. Use cheap dollar store materials to boil your dye in. Always keep checking the color when you're dying the G10. Mine darkened up after it dried. Good luck if you haven't done it already.

You see, in Europe, where I'm at, none of these so called budget options are a budget option, merely because over here all of the taxes are calculated before the price tag is marked. So, in this instance, this particular model costs $61 before shipping (seen it on Amazon.de), instead of the mentioned 45. I was always wondering how come you get everything so cheap, and now my suspicions were confirmed.
