Yep it’s the GoPro max that is $499.99. It’s so expensive. I have a GoPro and I put it on my traxxas rustler vxl. I also Take my GoPro on my scooter and my BMX bike🚲 🛴

Just letting you know that when you put the wide maxx kit on, it will significantly weaken the plastic driveshafts since they become longer and allow for more undesirable flex. I have seen photos of people permanently twisting and even snapping their driveshafts in half under aggressive driving conditions, mainly with the self right system. Just wanted to give you a heads up and something to look for when you eventually do your wide maxx kit review!

I've been looking forward to this video for ages 👍. The Maxx is one tough basher, exocaged rc recently released a video upgrading the plastic drive shafts over to steel ones. I believe it's the self righting function that twists and kills them 😥. Great video as always my man.

What i really like about the maxx , is that you can put a Bluetooth connection to the controller and it reads the rpm and battery, too speed ( not very accurate) , the degrees if your rock crawling. Un like when I had a Emaxx it came with all the rpm sensors but its connections and wires. The vxl 4s is so advanced. My #1 basher is the Maxx , already cracked the rims from slamming/ bottoming after jumps .

2 weekends ago a buddy of mine bought this for his FIRST rc vehicle.............. being part owner of a construction company sure has some benefits, lol! His step son wants a crawler now too. You guessed it, TRX-4 for his first rc vehicle! Jealousy is a terrible thing, although I'm glad they're getting awesome trucks to start instead of fixing issue starters.

You can buy self adhesive glass fibre reinforced tape. Thats what we used in the 90s for our touring car shells.

I make these trucks 6s with the Traxxas 6s ESC, wideMAXX and steel axles, YOU MUST have steel belted tires 6s will blow them right off! Get about 85mph from mine. Plastic axles won’t last long with wideMAXX kit, try the auto roll over too that’s a cool feature.

Not sure if another commenter mentioned it, but have you tried out the Maxx’s self-righting feature. I’m not saying I...err...flip my Maxx too much and need it...but it’s cool. :-) BTW, my 13-year old son got an almost 72ft jump of a 12 inch skate ramp with my Maxx. :-) Thanks for the videos Kevin!

Hey brother 6s ESC will turn your Maxx into beast.... I did it this pass week with a VXL 6s out of a UDR because I wanted to keep the lights working on the Maxx. As you know there are better esc’s out there, plus I did a wide kit plus metal axels and hot racing hubs and steering blocks.... the truck is straight beast.

4S is enough on this Maxx Kevin of course you can put more if you want to explode it but personnaly this is not my goal in RC ;-) Before putting more S in there I suggest you to test it 4S on other surfaces like skatepark and so... To check the resistance of that truck stock/out of the box Thank you

If you do the wide maxx kit you MUST put on the wide maxx steel drive shafts. The wide maxx kit stretches out the plastic drive shafts and since there so far out they are extremely weak in the center and they will twist up and break on you so fast. It happened to me. Also. I see you have the short steel shafts already. Traxxas sells the longer shafts on there own, so you’ll be able to use the metal drive cups you already have.

Hey Kev. I found a driveshaft solution for your slash 4x4 and rustler 4x4. It is by Tekno rc and virtually all the reviews were 5 stars. I ordered some myself and you should try them. You can find them on amazon. The driveshafts are Tekno M6 Part numbers for tekno driveshafts: 6851x (front) Rear: 6852x

I'm not sure if anyone else mentioned this. You mentioned having many other cars, and you use the same batteries for all of them. You cut off the factory Traxxas battery connector and voided your warranty, why not make a small pigtail to convert the connector, and then you can keep your Traxxas connector and warranty?

Clear silicone caulk works great and will go further than shoe goo.

It is so much better with the wide maxx kit. Also go with the metal axles for the wide kit, aluminum hubs and wheel nuts with heavier shock oil. You will fall in LOVE.

The stock tires are not the best. The foam tends to get wonky. I put some badlands on it and ordered the Wide maxx kit. These things take an absolute beating though. Drive shafts at the stub axle tends to break and the caster blocks so far.

Finally Kevin, I can see you're nice video on this mini maxx. Yep, I'm surely you need a wide maxx, metal driveshafts and maybe 17mm hex with a3.8 tires, then this will be one of your go to basher truggy too. You probably only need the wide maxx and metal driveshafts, caz you can borrow the e revo 17mm hex and tires anyway.😉

I put 500k diff fluid in the rear that really helped with it rolling over all the time. For anyone who has or wants a Maxx it is a cheaper option to try before jumping into the wide kit. The truck is pretty spendy as it is and I don't feel like I need to buy the widemaxx kit now. Ymmv.
