Its a regular thing on CEX to change the prices, blanket changes happen every few days with PS4 as i check every day so i expect other consoles do the same. A lot of games jump up to the next 'bracket' or drop to the lower. £5 to £8, £8 to £10, £10 to £12, £12 to £15 and vice versa.

Value of the Conan game depends if it has also the comic book or not. The problem is, that Price charting cannot really pick up on such nuance. Because yes, the game with manual, would be technically complete. So depending what sold recently (with or without comic book) will influence price charting and would show a seemingly rising or dropping trend. Sadly you cannot even track it in new game section, because again not all copies had that additional comic book included. Similar situation is with Bullet Witch, where copy with the poster is more valuable, than a copy without it. Castlevania 2 did not have any spikes as CIB (at least not for NA region). Castlevania 1, have 3 versions of the game on the market - the Standard version with young looking guy and the blue moon on the cover art. Then the Steelbook version with older looking guy, but with a blue moon the the steelbook. And finally the Collection, with older guy and red background. Now discs for the Standard version and Steelbook version are the same (blue night with a blue moon). Collection version that incudes the DLC however has dark gray picture on both discs. You can guess what people are doing on Ebay That's right, intentional mislabeling. So then you will get adds saying, that they are selling Collection version of the game, even if there is either Standard version or Steelbook version visible in provided pictures. Or better yet, they sold the cover art and manual from Collection version with discs from Standard version. Needless to say what it does with Price charting, that goes strictly according to the add misleading description. It will of course mess up the pricing. Witcher 2 is another one that has more variation of the game (and that is even without bringing in collector edition for Xbox). So in NA region, there are 2 enhanced versions of the game. The original Enhanced edition with Soundtrack disc and then the Silver box version without Soundtrack disc. Of course many sellers would consider game complete as long as it has 2 game discs and user manual. And of course copies of the game with Soundtrack will sell for more. There was also released something called box set of the Enhanced version. This included second big quest manual and the map in carton sleeve. And of course that is the more most expensive of them all Now the PAL region is seemingly showing Witcher 2 (classic hits) no Soundtrack and then Witcher 2 Enhanced edition with Soundtrack. Now if your shop made a mistake to mix them up together or especially check wrong pricing, then of course they may rush to lower it.

For PS3 its the same 20/25 games that flip between 12/10 8/6 6/4 every 2/3 weeks when they bulk change the prices. I'd be fairly confident the majority if these shown will go back up on the next price change.

Cex has started listing xbox 360 games as manual only. There's about 12 so far such as killer is dead, tornado outbreak. You should do a video on that. There are no "without manual" versions suggesting that you can't trade them in.

The spiderman games were made and published by Activision. Microsoft bought Activision. If they can renew the licences, they will definitely bring it to GamePass. If not Gamepass then at the very least they will make it back compat. If it goes to GamePass, it will drop in price. If it just gets made back compat then it can either drop OR can also go up since you can now play them on current gen consoles so may be more sought after.

Just bought a couple of bits in CEX including Fall Out GOTY edition and noticed some price changes. Ninja Blade has gone down from 15 to 12. Tomb Raider Trillogy on PS3 is down from 10 to 8. There's quite a few others but I couldn't pay attention to all of them.

Apologies if this has been explained before but at the start of this vid (and mentioned in a few previous ones too) you make reference to "looking at the CEX website to see what my local store has had traded in this week"... How do I go about doing this for myself? I use the CEX app but I can't figure out how I can search what my local store has received in trades recently? Any help from you or the community on this would be much appreciated, as it would be a very useful tool to know how to use 😊

Basically you have to manually search each consoles and click filter for your local. Once you start checking regularly you’ll notice what has been traded in etc. there’s no way to set up a search to see what’s been traded in etc it’s just a case of checking yourself. (As far as I’m aware)

I've recently dusted off my old xbox one and have had a blast, so much so i'm going to pick up the Xbox One X. Suprisingley games on Xbox One and 360 are so cheap at cex, even cheaper than ebay. I could walk in with £20 and come out with 5/6 of the time triple A games. Things that I never goit to play like SSX 2012 only £2!

You can check stock when you click on an item. It will give you a list of all the stores that have it. You can filter to ones closest to you using your location.

Former CeX employee here. I highly recommend not using their services or buying their goods. They treat their employees like they are less than shit and will spread rumors about you if you are looking for a promotion just to get rid of you, while also hiring management staff who are incompetent
