When he mentions his name is a good example of a scene where league players get more from it than the new audience. It's also a good example of when a "spoiler" works not to its detriment, but to its benefit. I would say that generally Arcane is better for new people but this right here is the reason why I actually think it's on a very similar level to watching it as a fun, just a different experience.

Great reactions. Some ppl describe the first couple of episodes as slow, but I found every second to be completely engaging. The animation, the characters and how real they feel, the immersion in the world. I really felt Jayce's intro, he dedicated his whole life to something only to see it taken away after a random event, and he has that impostor syndrome from being from a lower house in Piltover society. Love this episode.

This is so cool! I first watched it in 2021 (knowing nothing about the lore) with my brother (lol player), at the "it's Viktor" reveal i was happy because i love it as a name but my brother was shocked, all giggling and rubbing his hands XD it was PRICELESS

I remember watching this 4 years ago & as someone who plays pretty much only Viktor in game, I had suspicions it was him by the accent and the cane and him interacting with Jayce and being interested in hextech, but then when he finally said his name I got so excited. 😂

Jayce is the son of House Talys, who produce hammers. They aren't a high ranking family but they certainly aren't a peasant or servant class. Him and Caitlyn aren't terribly far apart class wise. But yeah, stick with it, you'll get more of Ekko 😁

lmao my reaction to viktor was kinda similar but the other way around, nc i never played league. when watching arcane for the first time, i was curious to see each character's looks in the game, but when it was vik's turn.. i was like wtf is this, how is this even the same person and HOW DOES HE END LIKE THAT 😭💔 he's literally so beautiful as a human so seeing him as a machine broke me, and i personally never liked that design nor the lore, so i was pleased when they changed both things in arcane and then made it canon in league.

I had similar experience. I crushed on Viktor the moment I saw him in Arcane, and I needed to know what was gonna happen to him in the story, so I looked him up in LoL, and yeah... not what I expected😂 It only made his character more intriguing (but it didn't prepare me for the absolute tragedy of his arc, unfortunately💔).

Loved the reaction, as someone who doesn't play LoL your comments are very clever and interesting!! I think it'd be even better if you stopped the video to ramble a bit, because we can see that you either miss things (like Viktor saying he was from Zaun, which might have helped you figure it out earlier) or cut yourself off which is a shame.
