Is this VIRAL WAX CANDY worth the MESS?
✨Recipe:
Paraffin wax
Jelly
Directions:
1. Melt the wax in a double boiler like you would chocolate. Pour into molds and let coat the bottom and sides before pouring extra back into pan. Do this multiple times until a nice thick wall forms.
2. Fill with jelly of choice, then seal the top with a layer of wax.
3. Let cool, serve, and enjoy? 🤔

you just need food grade paraffin wax or beeswax. both are used often for culinary purposes, and are often used to make candy. its not the best flavor, and food grade paraffin wax can be soft if its above room temp, but its perfectly safe to eat

You can eat it, but you can’t digest it. Food-grade paraffin and beeswax aren’t poisonous, and are used in a lot of food you probably already eat. However, the body can’t break them down, so they pass through unchanged. Which isn’t a big deal when you’re eating a little bit of candy coating, but if you eat too much it has a laxative effect.

I love the wax bottle candy. The wax is fun to chew. Before European-Americans started using natural rubber to make gum, chewing gum was just wax. Obviously it doesn't last as long as rubber-based gum, but it is still a decently satiafying chewing experience. And a little easier on my TMJ

Most commercial candies have some wax in them. These remind me more of Nickle Nips… wax bottles filled with sugary liquid. Some people chew the wax on them, but mostly it’s just thrown out.

Where I'm from (united states), we have this candy called "Nikl-Nip" (or something like that). Its a bottle-shaped wax container with a juice inside. I prefer to spit out the wax after giving it a good chew.

The chewing on the wax can be very calming and help focus when you're not a fan of gum, like me Also helps with toothache And if you want some health benefits try real honeycombs - importantly those where beeswax formed Chewing on Beeswax releases I forgot what it's called in english (Propolis) which is actually good for your guts And it's non toxic so swallowing it won't be an issue

My grandma uses that gulf Wax to make these peanut butter chocolate balls, they are so good and you can swallow the wax it is safe you can put cocoa powder in it to make it taste better too She's been making them for 30 plus years and her mom has been making them for longer before her before she passed away

I mean you can eat the wax but i don’t like the idea of eating wax either. I have an idea tho, how would cocoa butter and maltodextrin or corn starch work instead of wax. My ideas is like a flavorless chocolate shell which is basically what the wax is trying to be. It would have a somewhat flavorless exterior while at the same time being completely edible and more importantly more palatable than wax.

Beeswax is actually pretty fine to chew on like gum and depending on what its used with it can take on a flavor for awhile. Me and my brother actually used to chew on honey comb when we were kids and could get it from the amish for cheap.

You should do that with edible wax which really doesn’t taste that great or you could use white chocolate better yet you could use peanut butter. I’ve done it with peanut butter before and it’s really good. The jelly and peanut butter goes so well together and the peanut butter as the outside is the perfect thing to hold onto.
