Lmao.. thank God for having my rtx 4090. Pathtracing is a tough go for anything below the 4070 TI Super without heavy upscaling. Im buying the 5090 ASAP when it comes out.

I can use path tracing on my pc already. When the hybrid Xbox comes out I will probably opt for a higher end rig from Asus or Alienware which will run the PS games through steam and hopefully Sony will allow path tracing on their PC titles.

bro youre saying anything, you can check up rtx 3060 test with megalights these are viable for current gen easily, ps6 will employ more fun things like AI agents, auto ai dialouge , pathtracing and so on.....

I feel like developers in general already have more than enough options to make their games look gorgeous, but it's the lack of optimisation what bothers me.

Ps6 will maybe get what pc has now. This demo was basically less demanding than path tracing which 40 series cards can do now. Ps6 will not look like this. Console runs below low pc rt at the moment and historically has always been low pc level. This level of rt will be still intense a couple years from now. But..console gamers will get excited and disappointed like always.

You really dont understand hardware. Im a console gamer but know the ps5 pro is using below low pc settings for ray tracing on games like alan wake 2. The games look alot worse on console. Pc gets the absolute best version of even our ps games..look alot better. We still get locked games so we cant play rdr2 at over 30fps pc players can. Look at the ps5 and pro struggle with unreal 5 big time. Console is always behind pc by a fair bit. You need to get alot more educated.​@liamtensil8856

PS6 won't be even close to 4070, which means even new generation of consoles will stuck at 720-1080p just to deliver pretty graphic effects, and PSSR will upscale low res games, which is sad, as it struggles same as FSR, or Sony magically improves PSSR before PS6 launch at least to level of old versions of the DLSS then it will be fine, otherwise PS6 is cooked at the beginning, also people should learn and should be prepared that after 3 years there will be Pro version as they're preparing it at the same time as ps6 launches.

@@03chrisv you educate yourself, PS5 pro isn't even close to 4070, anyone who wants can just watch few breakdowns on YT including DF, ps5 Pro is overpriced underpowered trash, it is tuned xtx6800 at best, RDNA3.5 plus RT features from RDNA4 it's a custom GPU, so you can't really compare it to anything, 4070 runs game's much better with higher RT level and better resolution than PS5 pro in any game, PS6 will be maybe at this level, but not better, hence even 3080 runs better than Pro, just watch Elden Ring comparison between pro and base model and then watch how 3080 runs it.

If you want to see how PS6 graphic will performs just watch Cyberpunk 2077 run with Path tracing on RTX 4090. PS6 will be probably 30 to 50% better than RTX 4090 (probably equal to RTX 5090). Because most of the times Next gen graphical leap is equal to a ultra expensives GPU card that exist 4 years before . PS5 for example are 10 to 15% better than GTX 1080 Ti a extremely powerful GPU from 2016 . Due to better manufacturing, better supply and maturing on yield and smaller chip size ( It takes another 4 to 5 years) , console will able to have similar perf like ultra end GPU from 4 years before.
