This might help if it’s not too late but when my babies were born, we never whispered, tiptoed, etc. TV stayed on, phones and doorbell rang, dogs barked, I put up laundry, etc. and they were never none the wiser. Slept through all of it because they weren’t used to dark rooms or silence. Good luck with the apt hunting - it will be fun watching Henrique running room to room. Hope it big enough we can see you two dancing often again.

Same here, although my children have all grown men now But when they were babies, we still had noises in our home, I’d still vacuum, do laundry and put it away in their bedrooms if they were sleeping, I’d have music playing throughout the day and actually, our youngest son wouldn’t go to bed unless I put on a particular song for him in his bedroom, I had to buy a little stereo player to put in his room to play the cassette of the song and it was a rock and roll song Lol 😂 by a music artist here in Australia named Jimmy Barnes, it was so funny seeing this little boy who could just pull himself up in his cot and say “Ah Ha” and that was part of the songs lyrics and he’d go off to sleep no problems. 😊💙

I even vacumed under my baby's crib while they were napping.. we never kept it quiet... but with 4 small kids you had to get stuff done while the youngest was sleeping 😂

@Santee2918 I think it truly depends on the baby. My mom did the same thing and I never slept well. I never got used to the sound and ambiant noise. Oftentimes, I went to schools exhausted and my teachers noticed it.

Before moving into any new place we always prayed, “God if this is from you, open every door. If this home isn’t from you, close every door.” It always gave us such peace and happiness when every door was open by God. He’ll take good care of you. Trust Him!

Let me tell you about Florida. I lived there for 32 years. Once my child left home I had 10 years to reach retirement with a pension so I was stuck because I put too much time in to lose. But … Florida, lots of sun so much sun, every day really hot sun, day after day sun. Sometimes 75-80 degrees at 7am and with all that comes humidity. Lots and lots of humidity. From the time you get up till bed time. Then we have big fat flying palmetto 🪳 bugs, usually an inch long or bigger. This is in a super clean house, everybody has one or two every once in a while when you least expect them. Like when you have company! Then if you live anywhere near trees, woods or even in the city you can always count on a snake or two in your beautiful well kept garden/yard. Now as most of you may know, we have a few months of hurricane season. Never mind the prep that you need to do to be ready, it’s the cost of hurricane insurance/ flood insurance/ seepage insurance and wind insurance etc. if you can get any. And I got to enjoy the stress of all of this with an added surprise of a sink hole on my property at which point my insurance dropped me. So it’s still fun if you walk out from work and find a gator running around the parking lot! 😅 lots of fun but I wouldn’t recommend it except for vacations. Just pay attention to your timing. ❤

Moving is always hard. I grew up living in apartments the majority of my life, up until I was 16, and we finally rented a house. I had 4 boys under 5, and we started out in apartments. When we finally realized we needed more space, we started looking for houses to rent. That was a total game changer! We now had enough bedrooms, enough play area, a garage, and a fenced in backyard. My boys are 25, 22, and twin 20 year olds now. My oldest has flown the nest, but the rest are still at home here in our rental house. They key for us was going through a property management group. We've beenwith the same group, in the same house for 8 years now. Before this house, we were in a rental for 9 1/2 years. I live in the California Bay Area, and it's crazy expensive. We are renting out home for less than some are paying for their apartments.

I’m sure your new home will be absolutely perfect for your family, Fingers Crossed 🤞🏻 for everything to go smoothly for you guys and can’t wait to see it, You’ve probably made a little mistake by tip toeing around Henrique while he’s sleeping, baby’s get used to noises from the time they’re born, if you think of all the noises that go on in the hospital when he was born and still would go to sleep, that’s how it should be at home, I didn’t change my routine when I had my babies, I still did housework while they were sleeping and I’d always have music playing throughout the day, they adjust to the noises around your home and also when you have another child, it’s going to be difficult to try and get Henrique to be quiet when the new baby comes home, just a little friendly advice from one Mum to another but my children are grown men now. Hope you’re in your new home for Christmas 🎅🏻🧑🏻🎄🎄🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻, that would be Awesome for you all. Happy Holidays from Queensland Australia ❤️❤️❤️❤️

I am so so sorry that someone told you, or you read somewhere that you're supposed to be quiet when your baby is sleeping. That is horrible ! You should have been able to put away your clothes , make your bed, talk, and have company over talking. I hope you will start being normal around him.I have children. I love your family and only want the best for all of you! God bless all of you as long as you live, Amen!
@christinewhite68792 сағат бұрын
Poor advise. Every child is different. They are great parents who know their child and his personality. All they need is more room now. Not change how they let their child have proper rest. My first born, a son, could sleep through anything. My second child, a daughter didn't want to miss a thing. She would wake up if coughed or sneezed, if the water in another room was turned on, or if my son was talking to me. We had to change our habits so she would get her sleep. It eventually changed as she grew older and could actually wear herself out playing. You do whatever works for your family. Sound sleep is essential for everything. Especially for young children and the sanity of the parent.

I agree with previous replies number one I always had music done in my house I always danced around my house even before babies and with the baby in my arms I never ever turned it down. They never knew the difference and you never had to whisper and you can still do it! He is used to your music anyway! All five of my babies loved it and they are music lovers to this day and they’re late 50s and I am still dancing in mt eighties! He dancing, smiling, and having fun watching You three!

Just a tip for you as parents. We never stopped or changed any noise routines when our son was born. I still vacuumed, ran all appliances, etc.,, since he was born. He got used to the family household noises from birth. He did fine and we never had to tiptoe or change routines. He never knew quiet and we never had to worry about silence. May God bless.

When my husband and I were house searching and found our home we wrote a “love letter” to home/owners. We had a realtor send it. There were other offers on the home & we were the last offer. Our offer was accepted and I solely believe it was the love letter we sent them. We pictured our children running through the halls, downstairs on Christmas morning and growing up in what’s now our home. We expressed all our desires and dreams. 💛

I’m laughing inside listening to you talk about Henrique growing, crawling and walking soon. It doesn’t matter howmany rooms or how much space you have. Big or small, your home will always look like a kid lives there. He will pick up his toys and follow you around and play wherever you are. AND that’s ok! You are a beautiful family and will always put eachother first, as we have seen. Life is fun, not structured to the 9th degree. Enjoy your new place and your growing family. Just make sure you have space to push toys out of the way so you can do what you do best DANCE. ☺️

Poor Henrique if you leave him in his room to cry. Poor you if you don't because if you don't you'll wear yourself out running back and forth to calm him down. Tip on sleeping baby. I see many new parents making the mistake of tiptoeing around while the baby sleeps. If you get them used to sleeping with noise they will be so much better off later on. They will be able to sleep anywhere at any time. Don’t whisper or tiptoe around them when sleeping just do everything as normal and trust me they will adjust. 💕

My thoughts, continue to pray for guidance in your search. In US, even conservative states; though kids "live in the neighborhood" & parents appear to have similiar values. We found some parents don't want to see their kids behavior especially when father is busy with his fishing getaways, or preccupied in other ways. Thus their kids get away with bullying the younger ones in the neighborhood, especially if the little one doesn't have a big brother that has his back.
