Love K.Luke but only can get it when I travel and get lucky finding it. It isn’t shipped to my state.

Thats too bad... we have dealth with shipping issues where ine week everybody can ship to Washington, and the next week they cant. Crazy laws around it all...
@pizzawarlord92325 ай бұрын
@@bakerdrinks truly outdated laws regarding liquor in this country. The 3 tier system, not being legally able to sell your bottles to someone , shipping safely through the mail

Nice! The KLUKE line seems really nice and gets great reviews. Nobody around me stocks it so maybe I’ll have to go online and get one!

We typically dont openly recimmend 100+ dollar bottles, but the K. LUKE Line has consistently been worth it to us... try seelbach's for online. They arent the fastest shippers, but they seem to have a great selection of all the top smaller diatilleries.

@@bakerdrinks yeah, I keep getting my notifications that it’s back in stock but haven’t pulled the trigger yet! Every review I watch from batch 6 to the newest batch it’s well liked.

Thanks for sharing your notes and enjoyment of our Batch 3 Toasted Barrel, Barrel Strength Rye. K.LUKE Whiskey Company small batch blends are created by sourcing from several different distilleries in Kentucky and Indiana with different mash bills up to 36% rye and a variety of ages in our Bourbons. This allows the focus to be on building multilayered and exciting blends instead of the individual components used to create each blend. Jonathan creates several blends based off his notes and ratings of their barrel inventory, then all blends are run through several rounds of blind tastings with blends being adjusted one barrel at a time by taste (Jonathan and Jennifer do all the blind tastings) until a favorite is decided for bottling. This is The Spirit Of Blending. Cheers K.LUKE Whiskey Company Owner / Blender Jonathan Maisano

Wow, thanks for checking us out! We have loved your whiskies quite a bit. Batch 6 bourbon was Laura's whiskey of the year for 2023 in our advent tournament! Cheers! 🥃

Now I wish I would have picked this up at the Bama allocation drop. At the time, being over $100, I am very hesitant to pick up any bottle.

Hey Guys , The guy that owns K Luke was at a local store near me last friday,, did not make it to meet him and have only tried one of them with a friend but will be looking to buy a few ..... Thanks

Would love to meet and have a conversation with him... but they are only available to us online, so there is no way he would be in a store anywhere near us! 🥃

Haven't had that one... we have bourbon batch 6 and 8, and this toasted rye batch 3. And it seems like it just keeps getting better with every release!

I like K.Luke but it seems I don't like toasted barrel finished anything as I have the batch 2 and it was.... alright. Thanks for the video!

Historically Laura has not been a fan of toasted or double oaked, but this one seems to hit her palate just right... and for me its quite good! Thanks for watching! 🥃

I've been waiting on a buddy to crack the K Luke Toasted bourbon. Great review!

I buy rye 3-1 over bourbon weekly. I do enjoy bourbon but rye’s are just on another level for me. I like bold spicy flavors and rye’s just hit that note every time. Even high rye’s are better for me over bourbon. Getting ready to order one of these from Seelbach. Enjoy!!

We seem to be leaning more into the rye and even american single malts over the bourbons. Such bigger bolder flavors available when you branch out away from bourbons into other whiskey! 🥃

Is this the "herbal" note we were smelling?
@sugarkitty47775 ай бұрын
It's the piney one you were commenting on. You discussed whether it had the dill, that's carvone which is a common rye trait. There are two variations of the chemical, one goes dill/mint, the other goes caraway. Either are possible as the "herbal" part. But there can be a complex number of things. The pine part is a single chemical.

I need to try this whiskey but I fear you are grading on the typical YT review curve. You know the one that really starts at 6 and ends at 9.5. Not sure why people don't use a whole scale but they never do. Average whiskey when graded by a KZbinr ends up at a 7. Bad whiskey ends up at a 5.5 while good whiskey ends up at a 8.5. Gotta learn to use the full scale and not be afraid to call a whiskey bad. Some whiskey is bad. It makes your higher scores have meaning. One Bite Pizza reviews really actually hits it with his scale. Something that's a 8/10 is the kind of pizza you should go out of your way to try. Pizza that's a 9/10 is book a flight worthy pizza. Whiskey that is a 9/10 should be out of this world. In the whiskey world the only channel that I think does a decent job with grading is Curiosity Public. If you cut out their non-flavor components I think their system would be a bit better but I like including a small skew for the value. Packaging/presentation is a bit irrelevant to me unless a bottle is a super LE.

We have had a few clunkers for sure... we just dont review them on video. Nobody watches a review of benchmark 8, mckenna, or ten high. All three scored under 4. We try to share reviews of whiskey that whiskey enthusiasts may be inclinded to purchase, or whiskey that has some current hype. And as you stated, most of those typically fall in that 70 - 85 range. But if you want us to share a review of a drain pour, we would be happy to do it! As always, thanks for watching! 🥃
