Carne Asada or what they call it in Mexico, “Bistec” is not all that. I tried about 10 spots in Mexico City and I had to switch over to Al Pastor which I don’t normally eat here in Los Angeles. But I must say, the al pastor meat was better than here in the States

Most mexican street venders use decent quality meat mexicans generally have a serious distaste for dog or cat meat the most exotic things they will eat in certain regions are some insects mainly these red grasshoppers that feed on i think it was a sweet plant or fruit so they taste mildly sweet and small reptiles Usually mexicans as a whole aren't into eating field mice or small mammals like that they also dont like being fed something advertised as something else so vendors that lie about what they sell sort of get blacklisted once the secret is out.
