About ten years ago or so I decided it was time to get a good Swiss auto. I had plenty of money at the time and went to an enormous watch store on 57th in Manhattan. I assumed I'd walk out with a Rolex or something, but I really fell in love with the Le Locle, gray metal face and chrome bezel. I spent a fraction of my budget and to this day I haven't seen one I like better. Glad I'm not alone!

Do you still own it? How is it holding up?
@youtubecensors5419 Жыл бұрын
@@Neehalmahfuz I sure do, wearing it now in fact. I also got the gold/black Couturier from Tissot which is beautiful, and another half dozen autos since, but it's still my favorite. It's reserve is really good too. I occasionally use a winder on watches but I wear it enough that it's rarely necessary. It's also very comfortable (leather butterfly band) for me. I did have to replace the band a few years in (insane job, abused the band, probably not usual). So yeah, still love it, zero issues. When I got the Couturier, the guy also mentioned he gets fewer Tissots brought in for repair than any other brand.

Beautiful watch. The hand set perfectly matches the dial. Good score.
@ichbinderrizal2 жыл бұрын
I got mine around year 2018, but still looks like brand new to me and classy, but yes, since I don’t often use them because it’s my dress watch, so occasionally wear them. Apart from that, I have watch collection which I use them to which matches my daily outfit and activities. My only concern about this watch, is I keep rewinding them whenever I am using them. By doing so, it can eventually affect the crown and potentially damage it and wear faster. So I advise to put them on a rewinder. However, if you only have one watch (Automatic) to wear daily, then there should not be an issue. Number 1 about the Le Locles that really annoys me really is the crown, which is easily get pulled without you noticing it until you look for the time that is no longer running. Because every time I put my hand inside the pocket, the crown always get caught and pulled by the edge of the pocket. Unless you are consciously pulling the arm to make sure, the crown is free. So the problem is, I keep adjusting again and again. Which speeds up the wear and tear. By the way, I bought an original strap for it, so that I can choose which matches my belt and shoes in formal occasions. ❤

I was going to buy a watch with a blue/black face and maybe a 2 tone finish until one day a lady in a jewellery shop said to me to buy a classic/dresser style watch with a white face because it will grow on you whereas the other styles can come and go. She was right and when I saw this Tissot style I loved it. The price blew through my budget but I saved a bit more and bought it.

Even better now with the Powermatic 80 movement !
@robc84683 жыл бұрын
Not really it is worse..... the Powermatic has the jerky slow beat 21600 second hand sweep the old ETA movement beats at 28,800. The other issue is that only the factory knows how to regulate a powermatic movement most local watchmakers can not or will not work on a powermatic 80 movement.
@WJC19813 жыл бұрын
@@robc8468 that's the same on any half decent watch, I have 2 that can't be serviced on the high street (a Fortis and a Tissot) but thats part of owning a good watch

@@WJC1981 Lots of mixed reviews on the Powermatic 80 I have an H10 Hamilton movement also from the Swatch Group so far so good but it is only a few weeks old. I do have a older LeLocal with a classic ETA 2824 movement no issues but I know if I need it regulated any competent watchmaker can do it.

I have the steel version. I love it. Only qualm I have is it can be too dressy for normal wear. Other than that awesome. Especially the leaf hands. Although no lume they catch any light and be able to tell the time with low light especially with the white dial. The waffle dial also makes the watch just pop.. Great piece.

unfortuantely, this watch seems to be a fake one. if you check pictures from Tissort official store, it writes 'performance 80' on 6 oclock rather than 'automatic'. this is the only marker indicates that this watch is made by Taiwan. besides, look at the back 2:43, and check the official photo. the crown, the font, too many difference. I also owns one fake, exactly same as yours, I paied 40 dollars. good luck.

"unforunately", you're wrong. I owned this watch. There are TWO versions. A 2824 movement at 28,800 bph with 38hr power reserve, and a newer 2824 but slower beat rate to achieve 80 power reserve.
