Where we learn Vince is a closet deconstructionist. ;) Unless I'm conflating deconstructionism and utilitarianism... I think a mystic and an artist are different, but not so radically different in mindset from each other, i.e., both can easily relate to Ken's point about doing it despite it not making any kind of conventional sense. On the other hand, most people aren't artists (I don't think I am...), so I wonder if that's a point of view that you either get or you don't, because you either are that or you aren't. Some people say anyone can become an artist with enough effort and real intent, others say it doesn't matter how much you strive, you'll only ever be what you are (the same idea appears in this Charles Bukowski poem: www.poemhunter.com/poem/so-you-want-to-be-a-writer/). I don't know which to believe, personally.
