To be clear I am not saying the law is just, just that it does exist and may cause Jeff some extra legal troubles.

@@danielvest9602 I volunteered as an "inspector" (lowest level worker handling ballots) in the primary election in a different county and trained for the general election (unfortunately I couldn't get off of work). For voting hours, that's the rule. Media can film B-roll from the door and people can take a picture of their ballot only while at the privacy booth. No general photography is allowed. Assuming election day procedure and early voting procedure is the same for setup and tear down I'm not sure what the rule actually is. The reality is that the vast majority of the interesting actions would be by the "clerk," "assistant clerk" and the "election specialist" (basically the professionals). The ballot boxes (DS300 scanners) aren't opened on site anyways. Basically there's a printout from the EVID check in machine and the DS300 to confirm that people checked in matches the people who checked out. The machines are opened at election central and not the precincts. The "poll deputy" (the man in the orange vest) is responsible for basically the line and the area outside the election (i.e. the 75 foot exit polling line and the 150 ft electioneering line). The reality is that the second he got any push back he should have just gotten the clerk or assistant clerk and forced them to talk with you. They've got more training than the 4 hours per election that the deputy has and a direct line to the higher up election staff. Quotation marks used to denote the proper terms for the specific positions.
