Use insulin syringe . 29g into arm shoulder area . 3x per week makes levels more stable Put vial in warm water makes it easier to inject . Also get bloodwork done every 6 months .

I am 62, live in another Asian country. I started TRT about 6 months ago after a few years of a slow downhill slide in health. I combined it with a radical diet change from donuts, pasta and beer to nuts, fruit and protein powder. I also started going to the gym. I have lost 25lbs in total and gained a few pounds of lean muscle mass. I have visible abs and can do 15 solid pull ups. My libido is great. Regular morning woody! I think diet and exercise are really important and look at it as a three part package: T, diet, exercise. I do a combination of a monthly 250mg injections and the 20% cream. The 20% cream is a completely different animal than the Australian gel - which is worthless. I might even stop the injections. Anyway, highly recommend TRT for us older expats who are trying to live big in the twilight years. Best thing that has happened to me in a long time. One other thing to add is that you should get a decent doctor, preferably an endocrinologist, to support you. You need to get your blood levels measured a few times a year to be safe.

hi Mark. thanks for sharing what worked for you. in 2022 my total testosterone was 14 nmol/l (on low side of 9.5-30 normal range) - which i believe equates to about 300 on USA scale. i had a prostatectomy in 2013. in 2022 i suggested having TRT for better energy levels, sexual function & muscle mass, but it was not recommended as could promote remaining cancer growth. my PSA, a marker for the cancer, has dropped from 10 in 2022 to 2.5 now. so TRT may now be OK. will explore.

TRT will also exacerbate or trigger genetic male pattern baldness as testosterone converts to DHT. It can also improve mood.

I read TRT also may cause an increased PSA score indicative of higher risk of prostate cancer.

TRT is the best thing I’ve ever done for myself. It’s important that you educate yourself from reputable authorities. In the states, through my insurance I pay around $60 every 3 months. Dirt cheap. I use a 30 gauge insulin needle 3 times a week. I don’t even feel it. I’m 49 and I feel like I felt in my late 20’s. If you’re thinking about it, I couldn’t recommend it enough.

Thank you Mark ! As we get older our natural T production decreases. It’s so important for strength, immune system, cognition and a positive mood. I was diagnosed with low T in my mid 40s and started TRT. My whole life changed. Better mental and physical health that I thought was gone for ever. They are not. Please, anyone seeing symptoms in their own life, get a full blood test that includes T. I’m so glad I did. Live your best life. Questions? I’ll check this comment section and answer what I can, I have over a decade of experience and study of this behind me :-)

I agree Mark use an insulin syringe with an insulin needle that is barely 1/2 inch long and pinch a little skin next to your belly button and inject much easier than injecting into the muscle in your thigh, been doing it for years whole process takes five minutes very easy

Hi guys. Just my .02. Have been on TRT for almost 20 years. If you get on TRT, make sure you consider 3 things: (1.) Keep in mind if you're older, if the TRT doesn't raise you to at least 800, you may not feel a thing. (2.) Make sure you take ZINC!! Zinc is critical for a healthy prostate (along with many other benefits) and to keep TRT from aromatizing to female hormone. (3.) Engage in low-rep higher weight resistance training, which will trigger muscle growth, optimize utilization of your TRT and overall well-being. IMO, TRT gels are just fine, but only if you use enough on a daily basis...hense, #1.

My buddy in the states is 53 and for the last 5 years has been injecting himself i think every 4 days. He is under the care of an endocrinologist. I believe insurance covers most or all of it. Just remember test increases muscle mass, so that includes your heart. Your most important muscle.

Did injections for awhile and also tried the pellets. Both worked ok. I stopped drinking and lost some weight. The reduction of T was alcohol related. It’s better now but still low. I’ll retest when I retire to the Philippines in Jan 25. Probably after I’ve been there for 6 months or so. I used larger needles to load the syringe and then smaller needle for the injection. Worked well

Mark, You should see a doctor before starting or maintaining any testosterone or any therapy. It is very important that you get blood test to check on your testosterone level, because too much of any good thing can be bad for you and testosterone, too much of testosterone can lead to a stroke. So I strongly urge you to manage any therapy throw a licensed physician not just a nurse if you don't check your blood you have no way of knowing what is happening!

Mark I am a73 year old guy that went to my urologist and got tested which proved to show that I had a very low testosterone level. I was given a prescription and an outlet that specializes in the dispensing of testosterone. I made a purchase for a 10ml vile of testosterone for around $85.00 USD. My weekly dose is 0.35ml in which as you said inject it in the thigh. Because the testosterone is so thick it requires 2 different needles per injection. One large needle to withdraw the dosage from the vile and a smaller needle to inject the medication. I stopped taking it temporarly as I had other issues that I am trying to resolve. My plan is to start back at some point. Just an FYI

@@user-ou5bz6pi4dthere is an element of truth to it, my doctor told me that Prostrate cancer is a very slow progression cancer but if your on TRT it can speed it up, so it won’t give you cancer but if you already have early stages it could speed it up, he also said that’s why you never just take it by yourself without medical supervision to keep a check on you.

Mark you should at least mention possible side effects of TRT: Worsening sleep apnea Causing acne or other skin reactions. Pattern hair loss Stimulating noncancerous growth of the prostate (benign prostatic hyperplasia) and growth of existing prostate cancer. Enlarging breasts. Limiting sperm production or causing testicles to shrink. Stimulating too much red blood cell production, which contributes to the increased risk of forming a blood clot. A clot could break loose, travel through your bloodstream and lodge in your lungs, blocking blood flow (pulmonary embolism). Also, some research shows that testosterone therapy can increase your risk of heart disease. More research is needed. Most men are motivated to try TRT due to ED. It may be safer to try treating that condition with common medications specifically for that.
