I have the same unroller. I rebale the same way, if the weather is dry I found that it was easier to use the unroller hooked up to the 3 point and unroll the bale into a windrow then bale up like I would normally. I also use the unroller to feed cattle so it made it easier to justify the purchase. I think it’s a good option

It was a learning curve, but it’s a neat piece of equipment.

The farm i worked for in high school had a full setup in a barn. Conveyor table that could store 2 4x5 bales, dumps one into the unroller then onto another conveyor into a massy 1840 baler going into a bale baron, dark to dark and with 4 guys we could make a couple thousand square bales in a day.

That’s the ultimate setup! Very expensive, but very efficient.

If you could rent the rebaler for a few days during slow time and bale big bales during summer have everything ready to go the day pick up the rebaler could be a good option

That was pretty cool video. You did forget something in your math though. Your total cost of making the round bale. I aint knocking the bale unroller/square bale system but i think it would be more profitable to round bale half your hay and square bale.the other half of your hay crop this coming year. Hopefully you wont have to handle the same hay twice.

It was a very good video giving you 100 on the video. I’m surprised you can’t get more for your bills.

i would also put a bug in the ear of the people that you rented that roller from and maybe get one bought maybe a thing as that roller is not making the money the thought they could make and just sell it to you got to look at this worse case you need 3 guys on the baler 3 guys to off load in the barn you are looking a 6 guys at 15.00 HR note i say 3 guys 1 is drive the tractor baler 2 on the agon stacking and then in the barn you need 2 guys stacking there but they would be working their asses off way i am looking at it you are getting work done with 3 less people i am also looking at not having the high dollar stacker bander

His main rebaler setup is very nice. It does a lot better job than this one. It was a good experience and definitely gives us more options in the future.
