I’ve witnessed this first hand. My boyfriend took me to a work golf tournament. His black co-worker brought his wife and it was a ratchet hilarious ghetto mess. The wife never been to a country club, she’s rarely been around other ethnicities in a work casual environment. She was loud and complaining and completing acting out of place. I felt like I was watching a black 90’s sitcom. The husband utterly failed at trying to quiet her. Embarrassing. And funny.

As a person who has played D1 sports. It’s not that they’re more accessible. They are the only ones that are. When you go to a PWI and play sports, you are not really allowed on campus. Class is done either online or separately. Campus parties are frequented very rarely so they don’t get to mingle with the rest of the general education students. Instead they are invited to these booster parties where the only women to talk to at these parties are these white women. It’s may not be the case that they really wanted to talk to them but if that’s all you see, eventually you give in. It’s systematically setup.
