The 👏🏼 editor 👏🏼 understood 👏🏼 the 👏🏼 assignment! 👏🏼 Our family doesn’t go to Universal any more because we all get motion sickness, so the number of rides we can enjoy doesn’t justify the cost, HOWEVER I will always watch the AllEars Universal videos because Molly is the hilarious friend everyone wishes they had and the editor is…also the hilarious friend everyone wishes they had. We have the same dilemma... I love the thrill rides but my wife wont go near Hulk , Doom or Rockit, and she is only mildly enthusiastic about the other attractions in comparison to Disney... I LOVE Universal but we can really only take one day out of our Disney vacation and last time was a disaster with wait lines and break-downs. So this year we wont even consider it without the express pass.. but $800 for a day? It has become so hard to justify. Such a shame.

Molly Have you ever tried the relief bands my son gets sick on rides and I’ve always wanted to know if they work for motion sickness Try it for science and let the world know if they work or not

@Ryan B. I use the Relief Bands for all motion rides in WDW and Universal. I could not even watch Avatar Flight of Passage on the computer without getting a headache and nauseous. The first time I wore the Relief Band, I was able to ride Flight of Passage without getting ill (actually rode it 4 times that day with no problems). If you do get a Relief Band for your son, start slow such as the Expedition Everest ride (I would get sick when going backwards). Also, I recently had to have surgery and anesthesia makes me sick for days. I wore the relief band the minute they woke me up and, for the first time, I was not ill. Good luck! 👍

Maybe this is a dumb question but: Instead of guesstimating, could you keep the timer running in the locker and then subtract the duration of the ride to get closer to your actual wait-time?

At one point on my trip last week Hagrid’s wait time was reading at 70 minutes, but we were in and out in about 40-45 minutes! We also realized once you enter the caves you’re looking at about a 20-30 minute wait. So, even if your wait is forever, there’s a checkpoint to gauge how much longer you’ll be waiting.

I just went to IoA (3 weeks ago) and here are my comments/questions/tips! 1) If your park ticket is on you phone, but you want to put your phone in the locker, ask an attendant in the locker room to give you the locker key! It's a paper ticket that you can squeeze into your pocket. :) 2) I'm surprised that the preshow for Hagrid's wasn't running. It was running when I was there (again, 3 weeks ago) 3) I hate drops but Velocicoaster is awesome. The "top hat" drop was not as bad (to me) because you get an additional launch before the climb up, so you are up and down really before you have time to really process it. Whereas other rides, you have the "pull" to the top and just sit and look around and see how far up you are haha. 4) Order ahead for food!!! Getting lunch was a MESS. That is all for now :)

Wish we could have made it to Universal this upcoming trip. We went for the first time in a decade or more last year and it was a blast (without kids for a 10th anniversary). Our kids are just a tad too short though for the biggest rides. Maybe in 1-2 years.

You were lucky! I've been there last week and the wait time for Hagrid's ride said 75 min, and we wait for 105. Also the train to return from I. of Adv. to Universal said 25 and we waited for 45 min! Also, a lot of delayed attractions during the day due to technical issues, I guess it wasn't our day! The cherry on the pie was "Fast and Furious" attraction broken down when we were in and staff having to rescue us! I repeat, not our best day at Universal Studios.

Molly! I bought the nausea/relief bands at target. I wore them in the rides. My sister and I did that ride 2 times in a row and we were fine!

Love your videos! Could you please make a video comparing express pass vs genie + and include if you are a resort guest. My family has always been Disney fans and we’ve never been to universal but it seems more and more appealing with every price increase at Disney. Just rode Hagrid’s earlier today. The posted time was 150 minutes around 9:10 and got on in 70 minutes!

Probably BUT that ride breaks down a lot. If it’s a must do for you and you’re only going for one day, you’ll want to rope drop that one first thing in the morning or buy the Genie+ for it, because it could potentially go down in the evening and it may not come back up. If you’re spending a few days there and you have room to play with, then you can take your chances and go at the end of the night. But a lot of people try to do the same thing so it’ll still be a decent wait.

Love the rides at Islands of Adventure, but I really found the locker system to be a big old PITA. We found the wait times at Universal to be overstated when we were there beginning of April. I'd definitely rather have them overstated than understated. Also, Velocicoaster is amazing. BTW, your videos, along with DFB, were super helpful for our trip planning for both Disney and Universal. Thanks!

I'm a native Californian and I've been wanting to go to Florida the last few years to visit the theme parks as I've never been to Disney World or Universal Studio Orlando. I'm a magic key holder to Disneyland here in California, but after watching multiple videos I'm more excited about wanting to visit Universal Studios Orlando than Disney World. Does anyone know if the Universal site calendar refurbishment dates get changed? I made my plans to be able to ride H-Express (June 17) since it said June 9-16th. This was already a change on my original plans 🤦🏻‍♀️ But now the site says it will be closed from June 9 - June 18 😭😭😭😭

stood in line for 110 minutes for spiderman and the ride broke down for 45 min plus as i was next to board. OVERRATED theme park. cedar pointe in ohio is better
