Respected sir , i relate everything you have said in this video… i am doing very good in my life currently i am studying at IIT BHU Varanasi . My father and grandfather always motivate me for preparing for UPSC but i have no interest in it . Everyone i meet keeps saying you should i go for upsc i don’t understand their obsession for UPSC. I love civil engineering a lot and want to go ahead in this field. I never wanted to prepare for UPSC and never prepared for it. I am so glad that i followed my passion instead of falling for what other people recommended me.

I am glad that you spoke the truth despite running your mentorship. Even the best and ethical ones running courses keep pushing aspirants for one more attempt. Unfortunately, I wasted 5 years in this madness. And, whatever knowledge i gained has no use of what I am doing now, Software Engineering. I wish someone had told to end this madness long back. I had to restart life at 29. And, I am still compensating lost time with extra effort to kill stereotypes at workplace. Letting it go is a skill. Good luck.

Exactly. Society has given too much importance to "Never give up" idea. This preparation is genocidal beyond a certain point. Opportunity cost is disastrous here. Atleast sir is honest enough to save student's life instead of looking to glamorise the struggles and drawbacks of this preparation. The syllabus of UPSC gives aspirants no skill to find himself a job in market. Not even a simple skill of MS Excel.

Sir, maine apna coaching open kiya hua hai jisme monthly 20k-30k earn kar rha hu....last year maine apna pehla attempt diya tha with 6 months preparation, sir is saal mai job bhi kar raha tha aur apna coaching mein bhi padha raha tha, but last ke 6 months se job hat gayi thi toh sirf coaching se hi earing ho rahi thi aur apni upsc ki preparation pr focus tha but is baar gs mein 55 aur csat mein 78 aa rahe hai ..toh kya mai next attempt du ??

*Just remember that once you leave the preparation cycle* and get a private job, start earning money etc, it's extremely tough to come back. • If you think you've given all you had with 100% honesty and were Prelims + Mains ready and yet you failed at least twice ... then you can leave UPSC. *Failing without complete preperation isn't a proper attempt btw.* • If you still think you can improve a lot and your "why UPSC?" answer is very clear then kindly continue with preparation. You'll earn money in the private job but that doesn't mean you'll be happy if you've UPSC in the back of your mind. And yes, your starting salary will be extremely low for 3-4 years for most people out here. • If you've decided to take a job, make sure you have enough time to prepare without compromising your health or sleep. Most jobs won't offer you that tbh. So think before you jumpship. • If you have any financial issues then *KINDLY GET A JOB FIRST.* • If you want to continue with UPSC. Be 100% ready with Pre+mains.

Hello sir. I am a english literature post graduate.26 yrs old Gave upsc twice Did not clear prelims both the times. Gave cat got a good college for mba with scholarship...but could not join it due to health emergency at end moment. Thought of appearing in state services and i am preparing for that. Always wanted to do upsc but I was damn sure that I ain't wasting my prime years (22 to 28) in such uncertainty..So after passing out of engineering college in 2018..prepared for engg exams .got selected as senior section engineer in north east frontier railway in 2019 at 24...enjoyed for 4 years...Partied ,dated girls and all those pleasures that life had to offer....now finally gave my first attempt at 28..getting 76..wont clear this time ..but will give two more attempts without having to worry for anything as I already have a high paying job....

Sir, i am working as postal assistant for 10 years now. Age 32 belongs to OBC. I have 7 years and 3 years kids I have given 6 attempts till now in 2015, 2017, 2020, 2021, 2023 and 2024...
