Kashi or Benaras, not only is a mythological city but also a spiritual place where people throng for renunciation or moksha. It's an ancient city blessed with divine powers of Bhagwaan Mahadev. Having a boat ride in the serene and tranquil waters of holy Ganges and on looking Ramnagar palace is simply spectacular and majestic. One can never forget a boat ride.. Gorging on mouth watering and delicious kachoris, lassi and other sweets may draw attention of a tourist or pilgrim at any point of time. Too good.. 🙏🙏🌹🌹

"Is VARANASI worth visiting as a tourist place" --> This is the problem .. Eveyone is trying to make the holy spaces into tourist places. Please dont do it . Please dont advertise a sacred space like Kashi as a tourist place. I am using the space deliberately , because thats what it is. Kashi is the body of Mahadev himself. Its a place you go to deepen your sadhana . That has always been the intention .

Kashi is not at all a tourist place. Avimukt kshetra of kashi is only for pilgrimage. Though due to effects of Kali kaal, we have lost much of its glory. But still it can change your conscience. 🙏🏻

Man... if you go to Varnasi first, you will find it is loud, dirty and just overrated. Then, you get on that boat and slowly go through each ghat and each of them have intense story about people lived and died. Each with a moral. Then, you reach Manikarina Ghat - you realise that "damn man... i havent got much time to live. I have to perform my dharm". I almost cried. Every Hindu or anyone born Hindu should visit there. We have so much history and philosophy and yet, we get stuck with Western philosophy and use that as our gospel on what's right and wrong.

Government should promote Varanasi more. Make it more tourist friendly. Make it clean. Clean the river so that I can bathe without having to worry about diseases. Also, citizens should actually consider this river as sacred and not pollute it.
