It is definitely worth the hype.... The shops, boats and the colorful buildings. This is a must visit

Another fantastic video! Been binge watching over here in Canada this past week 😃. Can’t wait to get back to Venice next year. In the meantime, am enjoying your travel content. Interesting to see a Sikh from a totally different part of the world! Little side note because the history teacher in me can’t resist (and Renaissance history is a favourite of mine). The doge was the title of the senior-most elected official of Venice, not the name of a family. They were elected for life, but it was not a hereditary position. Happy travels!

Ohhh this is great information Harjinder! I hope you are loving your time in Canada. I have been following Rajvir for a long time now and I agree that his content and location and his identities was something that I specifically looked for. He is great and I love his editing skills.

When I visited Venice on a solo trip I felt so out of place 🙈 Surrounded by couples left right and center displaying PDA, couples on gondola rides being serenaded by a guy singing opera, I've never felt more single hahaha!🤣 But it was still awesome! At some point I felt I was in a maze, walking around, hoping I'll remember my hostel on my way back🤭 I also visited Burano and Murano on one of the days with a roomie I met on that last day before leaving Venice, the colourful buildings in Burano were just wow😍

Well damn, I’ll be in Rome solo for my birthday next month and I plan on spending 2 days in Venice. Nice to know the vibe I have to look forward to 🤣🤣
@Jess777JWK2 жыл бұрын
@@TheTexanTraveler hahahaha 🤣🤣 I was definitely glad I spent less time in Venice and more days in Rome. I spent only 1 full day in Venice (and 1 night) then I toured Venice again the following day till evening, then I left for Rome where I spent more days. I felt there was also way more to see in Rome than Venice so I felt it's better to spend more days in Rome. Also, as a recommendation, if you'll be in Rome, check out Rome Hello hostel😉 Best ever and it's a walking distance from the airport😉 That solo trip (to Italy and one other country) was the first time I've slept in hostels but that one in Rome was just on their own level. Edit: Also happy birthday in advance!🥳😊

Was just in Venice and, to me, not worth the hype! More of a tourist trap. Regret spending time on my European holiday tour in Venice. Enjoyed your video though 😀. I’m post European vacay binging.

Just want to say something about the Acqua alta Bookstore as it's really annoying to see everyone going there just because it became an instagram attraction. it used to be a nice second hand bookstore, than it became a touristic place, and i mean is basically just a scam, selling touristic staff, as no tourist's gonna by a paperback in italian or something else, everyone ends up buying postcards and similar. Books are often inhabited by booklouse and you need to keep them outside for sometimes. It's incredible how this has became one of the most visited place in venice as it's just a book dumpster. The guy also used to rent part of the library to tourist, without paying taxes and not being or airbnb or similar, basically all illegaly and everything, it was closed down because of healty issues, rotten matresses, bed bugs... By a Venetian point of view it's really sad seeing people visting the city, missing tons of incredible stores, to visit a scam. I undestand that it might be somehow fascinating to non venitian but whoever thinks this might be the most beautiful bookstore in the world probably hasn't traveled a lot. And btw every one in venice has to put the stuff higher from the floor as the high water affects everyone, just not everyone makes a business out of it. Also those books are ruined becuase they're old, people goes there with boxes of books to throw away and sell it or gift it to the guy. It surely is an interesting place, but there's tons of better stuff to visit in the city. Sorry for the rant, but i often look at tourist videos to understand the way you perceive the city as a personal way to better understand my city, and i'm a little bit annoyed to find this "most beautiful bookstore" in every video. Yours just happened to be the one i saw when i was in the right mood to write a wall of text. No angst against you! happy you enjoyed the city. If you'll ever come back i suggest to visit the Oriental Museum in Ca Pesaro, one of the biggest collection of Oriental art ( especially japanese ) in venice. And sorry for the grammar mistakes but english is not my first language.

hey! thank you so much for sharing this information. And I actually have made a new video about how I want to share world experiences in a more authentic way. I would have loved to meet someone from Venice who could share a more authentic story. Seeing your comment, maybe we could get in touch and I'd love to see Venice through your eyes. Please DM me on Instagram @adventuresingh or email me info@rajvirsoin.com. I'd love to connect
