A third factor is he had no real financial reason to sell. From my understanding there were no large sums of money exchanged and this was an all stocked deal. If that was the case and he needed cash for some reason. He could have sold some of his WWE stock without selling or giving up control of the company.

Even if Vince wanted to do that and i am sure from watching over the years that he would if he could. The current stigma on him i doubt most wrestlers would go to work for him until he was found not guilty. Everyone that was 100% loyal to him is either retired or dead. Except Cena and Brock and both are at the end of their careers. And most of the WWE guys won't pick Vince over HHH in this current state of things. And most of the AEW guys wouldnt leave Tony for Vince in the current state of things either. Now if he gets found not guilty then its a whole different story then.

Yeah, I would love to see him come back and beat the pants off of WWE, TKO and this Amari dude, but he simply doesn't have the time it would take. I think his best hope would be to purchase another company. Make amends and peace with both Shane and Stephanie. Then work together as a family to instill all of these wrestling knowledge into whichever grandkids with an interest in the business side of wrestling. (Not as a performer) Instill as much knowledge and guide them as much as possible. Hopefully, the McMahon name will eventually be back strong at some point in the future.

I would love to see Vince buy another company and put WWE out of business. Unfortunately, I don't think that is even remotely possible at this point for 2 reasons. 1. Time. It took him nearly 40 years to build WWE into the company that it is today. He simply doesn't have another 40 years to build either an existing or new company to that level. 2. His mind is very likely deteriorating at this point. The fact that he sold the company is kind of evident in that fact. He had the company on sound financial footing. So much so, the company signed huge tv contracts within a year of selling for both Smackdown and Raw. (Especially Raw.)
