I'd rather be addicted to toys than drugs! I love seeing these collections. My collection are old die cast robots. 80's Transformers, Voltron, Japanese stuff. Hopefully you guys do an episode on that type of collection!

The fact that some people have a problem with other people who collect toys or doll's is the real issue. Why is it a problem for those who don't collect this stuff? How does it effect you? People who don't understand never will, and those who love collecting toy's never have to explain to other collectors why we love this stuff. I'm a doll, action figure and toy collector and I love the whole complicated and exciting experience of being in this hobby. It's instinctive and so easy and organic to love this stuff! It makes me happy!

The title of this video is intriguing. Any kind of collecting has the potential to get really OCD and border on hoarding. I obsessed over a physical movie collection years ago until I called it quits. Surprisingly, I now have more money and less stress haha.

There is a fine line between hoarding and collecting. My cut off point is I try to curate my collection and that if I start forgetting things I have I need to do a clear out and curate my primary pieces of the collection. It helps keep things fresh and makes it so that if I need cash or need to downsize quickly, no longer painful, just sad to see the pieces go.

TMNT were what inspired me to become an artist when I was gifted some of their graphic novels was back in 1990. I was blown away. Still am. Same with “The Mask”, even though I loved the Jim Carrey movie, I was really hoping for something closer to the destruction and mayhem the mask caused in his comics. I even met the artists and writer at a comic con who further inspired me to keep creating things.

Very impressive. It is addictive. I took a break and even sold off a lot of stuff, only to come back and start again later in life. I’m always looking for new ways to store all of it too. It’s fun. It’s a hassle too to keep up on it all. Expensive as well. I recently invested in acrylic jackets for a large part of my sealed in package collection and its cost me over $1000.

I used to collect back in 2007, I have to ask do you have the Japanese Mutations briefcase that transformes into the channe 6 news building? It was kind of like the old Kenner cardboard play sets from Starwars.
