For Placements, all VIT campuses get same priority. Exposure wise VIT Vellore is better than Chennai Campus, and they do promote lot of Extra curricular activities (But to join coaching, you need to pay fees). Academics wise its good if you pick the best faculties. The best part is more than 80% faculties are friendly and approachable, and if you work with them in projects and research papers, you can improve your profile significantly and stand out of the crowd during the placement process. The only limitation which I see is Fees (Very High).
