I just cant understand how the campaign wasn't good enough for. I mean the game is just ok but i play like 6 7 chapter into the campaign and this is just so great! the small missions and the cinematic in between chapters so good...

Fascinating. I mean, I agree insofar that this should not have been a full price release - 40 bucks or so seems like a more appropriate price point for what's on offer in the game to me. That said, the game as such was actually quite fun for me. The campaign certainly plays too slow and the Conquest mode could definitely have used more bells and whistles, no argument there, but the gameplay itself was quite enjoyable for me. Simplistic, but enjoyable. Was the overwhelming disappointment down to expectations maybe? I got the game way after the fact and with no expectations whatsoever, so maybe that's why I ended up enjoying it?

Expectations definitely played a factor, but I really take into account the price of a game. I paid a full $60, and at that price point I really felt like I needed more content. At say $40, I would have been much more willing to forgive the lack of content as the core gameplay is enjoyable.

@@TroySturdy Completely fair - I tend to only ever buy games a couple months down the line and on sale anymore these days, so I'm usually safe in that regard, but it's absolutely reasonable to expect a full price release to feature as much content as that price tag implies.

Preordered deluxe edition. Just played the game for the first time (40mins) and refunded it... No clue why I was expecting something like DOW2 but this game somehow feels very empty. When they made this game, it's focus was definitely on pvp/console which would perhaps be popular if the game came out ten years ago. Let's be honest, most rts games were bought by pc gamers for single player, the pvp focus evolved afterwards.. So yeah, this game will be popular with a very very small group of people, a niche in a niche.

I'm an xbox series x user. I also think this game will be a dedicated rts for a small number of people, especially console users. But I think the quality is pretty good, assuming it's rts for consoles. However, I'm sorry that unlike the steam on pc, I don't know the statistics that show the number of concurrent users on console RoR.

Unfortunately I cannot stand RTS games like this, it looks and feels too much like a moba and not a solid RTS game. More over I find any RTS game without considerable base building to be a complete waste of time, unless its done in a story heavy squad or small group setting. Any other form just feels like it belongs on a mobile platform and not a PC and which I am sad to say it seems like this game is basically a mobile game turned into a PC game in the worst ways possible.

The lack of content here does make it feel like a mobile game. A shame because if this was a mobile game I'd be willing to call it a pretty good one...

I really liked this game until i played conquest and changed the difficulty to the second lowest for a little challenge and then it became hard which i wanted but the twist that you unfortunately cant turn off makes it nearly impossible for me, idk who made tested the difficulties but they didnt do a good job making it accessible for new RTS players like me and it might have ruined that genre of game for me and im upset i cant enjoy this game that i liked so much smh

The thing that makes this game bad is the story. Its great but they require you to do SO MUCH per chapter. Its so bad that it ruins the experience.

Console playable, should have been a huge red flag. RTS is not for consoles. It's a horrible game, especially if you paid full price. Sooooo basic, horrible gameplay, basic b strategy at best.
