Is Winter or Fall A Good Time To Cruise The Mediterranean?

I dream of traveling the Mediterranean in- or after October, since I heared my brother who lived in Rome at that time, gushing over the Italian Autumn time. He spoke about huge sweet grapes, a fuller, more colorful light and a much calmer pace, and a so much nicer weather. The locals catching their breath so to speak, after the madness of high summer. Again and again all kind of other dreams made my "to do now", and so, I still dream about it. I guess I'll plan for this now, on purpose. Thank you, both of you! It's such a pleasure to listen to you!

One of our favourite memories of Rome. One evening we happened along a wonderful outside bistro down this alley. Had wonderful meal under the stars while being serenaded by a violinist playing the love theme form The Godfather. It was like straight out of a movie.
