Basically, you end up paying much more because you will get stranded somewhere in an airport with no suitable connection and will have to pay at least a hotel night plus food and transfer and since the luggage size is ridiculous, you won't even be able to bring enough clothes if you want to travel far. It's a scam plus you can't plan anything and won't go to any desirable location during peak season. Better take a reputable airline such as Lufthansa, Tap, but not a 'fake low cost airline such as WIZZ air. Waste of money, time and energy.

Hong Kong: sad, sad, sad! I worked in HK in my younger days and, like Dan, last visited during the protests. My wife has gone back a couple of times since then to visit family and reported that in some ways HK is the same and in other ways like restaurants closing at 9 pm is a big change. I will not argue the point that the pandemic has had a role but the whole world went through the pandemic! In my opinion Beijing has crushed that which made HK special. I think the exodus of people and companies bear that out. I have no desire to visit HK and looking at the depressed tourism numbers, there are a lot of people who feel the same way. Alex and Dan thank you for your excellent reporting.

Here's a crazy business idea: you two could start a legal advice company that helps travelers file for compensation if their flight gets delayed/cancelled or their baggage gets damaged/stolen. Just tips and tricks, maybe procedures on how to file claims for that sort of stuff. If this somehow takes off 😉 you could help someone file a lawsuit to change bad aviation laws. How bout that?

You can't give legal advice unless you're qualified and licensed to do so. "Tip's and tricks" is a VERY different thing to "legal advice" and/or "help[ing] someone file a lawsuit"

This already exists. My dad had a huge delay on a flight to Asia and people from some legal firm came TO THE GATE to hand out flyers that offered to settle the delay claim for a 1/4 share of the sum. This was in Frankfurt btw.

your a bit mis-informed about the Wizz air unlimited flight pass....... 1. The allocation has now been sold out, so obviously very popular 2. This unlimited flight pass is to stimulate people to travel more. So regardless of what you may have travelled in the past, everybody who has the pass will make sure they do more travelling to get their £££ worth. Like the concept of a buffet.... u will always eat more than you would do normally 3. Yes booking in the last 3 days is not always ideal for everybody, but considering last minute tickets are the most expensive i think just over 10-15 flights you would get your £££ worth 4. You forgot to mention it would PERFECT for people who want to just do a day trip....... so when you factor THAT, anybody should be able to do 10-15 flights in a year. 10-15 flights is 5-7 returns. It's a NO brainer
