Yes, that is exactly (sorry for combining comics with MCU) what he did to Jean when she was going nuts on Alcatraz in "X-Men:The Last Stand". He's been a professional assassin for hundreds of years, he knows where the organs generally are, so an impaling by him should mean instant death for Magneto, who doesn't have any healing factor AFAIK.

Wolverine is lucky Magneto didn't blast him off to the sun or something, he didn't even try to restrict his movements by controlling the adamantium early on. It's like Batman vs Superman. Magneto could have used Wolverine’s adamantium as a trash compactor by encasing him in it and shrinking it down to a small cube. Then shoot it into the Sun for good measure. That would have done it.

Cyclops and Jean should've switched places for this mission. Magneto had a hard time dealing with Madelyn Pryor in the earlier episodes, so he would also have a problem dealing with Jean. Mr. Sinister is weak to Cyclop's Optic blasts. Cable doesn't hate Cyclops, and would have a better fight against Sinister's control.

First of , In The Animated Series , Proteus did almost the same thing and he was ripped into thousand pieces and if successful , Magneto should return the bones to that colonel in Canada for further study . He always wanted to learn the secrets . In Days of Future Past part 2 we saw Wolverine skeleton inside a tank . We all thought Wolverine died but guess not just his bones dragged by Magneto. In a Flashback episode , Wolverine is seen given claw gauntlets for regular people so even if his claws are gone , he has backup gauntlets . So he be just fine Tis but a scratch !

I disagree. Wolverine may be one of the most popular X-Men, but by no means is he one of the most powerful. I think Wolverine fanboyism mistakes the two concepts. He is not an Omega level mutant. He has a healing factor and an adamantium skeleton with claws. He is a formidable opponent,. But, he is no Storm, Professor X , Magneto, Havok, Cyclops level mutant. I have enjoyed the vacation from seeing other X-Men get screen time. The Fox Universe mad e it all about Wolverine and the X-Men are supporting characters. Don't get me wrong, Logan fans , I think Wolverine is a great character. But, he is not the end it/be all of the X-Men universe and his character has overexposure, IMO.
