agreed sadly as long as fans continue to purchase more then standard editions of games the segmenting of certain DLC's will continue to occur as a way for developers to milk titles for more cash. Agreed though this is the first game I maybe getting from WWE in nearly three or four years b/c of the overall to the title. I still agree though 99 bucks for the deluxe digital edition is cheap and 120 for NWO Edition ha is laughable when most the characters are already in the game just not in the NWO attire, intros, etc... cards, wolf pack title LMAO just funny. Payup for a few character attires . Community Creations community has done a wonderful job creating certain superstars !!!

Maybe it was things like those that was making 2K20 glitch so much, plus they’ve literally had to remove major content because of WWE, which probably caused a delay, plus scrapping dlc because of releases. As a 90s kid who was all about the Monday Night Wars, I find that I'm getting most of my money's worth out of the nWo Edition. The one thing that really cheeses me off is that paying the money to unlock everything doesn't REALLY unlock everything, but that's an issue with the game in general and not specific to the nWo Edition - all of that content I'm happy with. Especially after playing on an all white ring on an all white entrance in 2k20, that was supposed to be Bash 96, because it didn't play nice with custom arenas.

I can't justify spending what amounts to double the cost of standard for it when there are already multiple versions of Hall and Nash along with at least one version of X-Pac and Hogan that come standard. The CAWs are fine to get NWO with. Now for the other shoe...you are getting the full season pass, so in the long run it may be cheaper if you plan to get the DLC anyway.

Thanks for your videos! I own the PS5 and also a PC (w/ RTX 3070 ti) and because of WWE 2K being disappointing in the last several years, I waited if I buy or not with WWE 2K22. Meanwhile I purchased Gran Turismo 7 & Forbidden II (love both games). Now, after the game not only does look good but also gets good reviews, as a 30+ year long wrestling fan and a fan of the golden days of games, I decided to buy this game. Now I'm in the exact position of to buy the Deluxe Edition (to get the DLC's etc.) or the nWo 4Life Edition (which sadly - as a physical collector and that cover looking awesome - is just digital). The price is indeed the thing: The nWo edition costs €119,- here in Germany, the regular almost half the price (€65) as physical disc. The deluxe edition costs €99,-. I think the price situation isn't smart for fans and gamers who got into this dilemma. You explaining what's great about the nWo content really makes me want it. WCW/nWo should feel like back in the days and different compared to WWE. If the deluxe would be €89 and the nWo €99 it would be an easy decision.

Great, Videos as always Matt!! Thank You Sir! I along with yourself purchased the NWO 4 Life edition, and wished it was a physical game!! Maybe it might perform better with it being a disk versus digital, I've had to uninstall the game, call Microsoft 3 times and Maybe I can play the game. Haven't had the time to sit down and Play it for enjoyment. The CAW this year are Exceptional, man this game hasn't even been out a month yet, and the creation's and arena's, championship belts are TOP NOTCH!!! Now that Scott, has passed I feel like it is a collector's edition, still wish for $130 I paid in USA would have been a physical copy of it. Make it worth our while! The Biggest issue I still have is the lack of variety of legends and my GM limitations, and things like that!! They reason for the Retro models is that if they were just attires they would have the same signatures and finishers, which means in this game if Rey Mysterio, Jr. was set as an attire for Rey Mysterio then WCW Rey Mysterio Dec would be using a move that he did not use until he came to WWE, and Rey Mysterio had a different theme in WCW. Much like the Eddie Guerrero from 1997. It's a separate character for Enterence and music purposes. The Undertakers sure should really be attires, minus Undertaker '02 as that Undertaker is different then normal Undertaker, and a separate character for the nWo versions of Hall and Nash are pointless, but Hollywood Hogan is different then base game Hogan.

The content they sell you for an additional $30 as of April 7, 2022 is stuff that used to come standard. Alt attires, championship belts and arenas that if you had/took the time you could have created yourself. Some regardless of whether they see it as “worth it” to pay the additional price to get this content may also feel gouged a bit.

I heard on the 2k forum that the nwo content will be available for download 90 days after the release of the game so I went with the deluxe edition for a physical copy. The simple answer is no. They removed a multitude of stats, which means Andre and Mysterio strike at the same speed and so does everyone in between. Most people can't get into universe, faction or gm mode... or a combination of all 3. Every single wrestler when blocking will do a nip up head scissors. Downloading anything from community will cause tons of future game crashes. This game was factually built on top of 2k20. No, I wish I hadn't bought it. Had to delete it because I can only do exhibition and rise thanks to VC not knowing how to do their jobs, game crashes on every other mode and no way to fix it. This is a red headed step child of 2k20 and battlegrounds and nothing about that is positive. Oh... and don't even try multi person ladder matches even on easy. They don't make enough nicotine and booze on earth to calm your nerves on that dumpster fire.

Even with the disappointments of features removed, the new additions, lots of attention to detail, best graphics ever in the series and much smoother and responsive new gameplay more than makes up for it. These haters that don’t have the game are killing me with their invalid cringe complaining like the a.I getting up too fast (when it’s because the videos they’re watching are the beginning of matches and the opponents aren’t damaged enough not even on red) when there’s so many sliders in the settings and individual superstars to adjust to your liking including crowd reaction (since some complained about the crowd not reacting since it’s off by default). I think they’re just too broke to get it and they bash it as a cover-up or 2K20 just turned them off so bad that even if it’s good they were going to bash it anyway. 😂

They got rid of cool stuff like chain wrestling in the beginning, rest holds, the ability to do moves/Irish whip without doing a non sensical collar and elbow tie up first. They actually took out more than they added. The only thing new about gameplay is the defense system. Combos, Dodge ( *reused reversal animations* ) and the paper, rock, scissors system, that if successfully performed has every superstar do that spinning back kick to the gut 🤦‍♂️ Speaking of animations.... Its 90% the same ones from before. Including walking and striking. The transitions look even worse because they make you lock up first. *Collision detection is also still bad* What's up with those barrel roll reversals after reversing a ground strike they kept in? Or how about still having everyone do that dumb Undertaker get up after kicking out 🤦‍♂️ No new match types and the old ones haven't really been updated. Other than improved lighting, less bugs and glitches ( *Not by much.Wrestlers legs/ feet twitch in just about every match* ) it's the same game. Yet they promised a complete change in engine. "From the ground up" Almost 3 years for this.....

At this point they should just release a physical copy of this version. So many other games have done it where initially it’ll be digital only and then a couple of months later they release a physical copy. I also don’t understand why this version wasn’t just a physical collectors edition. But either way hopefully it’ll be released at the very least as DLC that can be purchased later down the road.

No it's not worth it, I got the standard edition, hulk Hogan Scott Hall and Kevin Nash are in the game I made alternative tires of NWO, Rey Mysterio his attire from starcade I made an arena of WCW NWO souled out the arena image is in the game so it's not worth it just for an Eric bischoff! You can't have the NWO entrance, so what I turn entrance off anyway. They're cool to look at a few times but I like jumping right in. Love your videos though just my opinion

I like how they call it nwo 4 life then all they give you is 4 new outfits and a entrance. I went with the standard edition. Seemed like the safest bet after 2k20

I just went with the deluxe edition as I don’t have any attachment with WCW/NWO in general as I started to get into WWE since the year 2000 so WCW was already close to the end

I tweeted 2k and asked if they could maybe do a game where it includes all territories, AWA, Mid South, WCCW, WCW and ECW all of which WWE owns and include all legends with the concept being what if WWE failed and how would the landscape look if AWA won etc. i think it would introduce legends to younger fans and give a history lesson on all pro wrestling

That would be great to do a universe or gm mode with all the old territories. A few games back I sort of did it with caws and logos but it wasn't quite what I would have wanted.. more guys and arenas were needed

I pre ordered the nWo edition soon as it was announced. I was bummed they didn’t have a physical version with some nWo merch but it’s still dope. Enjoying the game however, some of the stuff being locked to certain modes is stupid. Especially if you paid for the “unlock everytime” only having to stlll grind for stuff… go figure

Here in the UK the nWo 4 Life DLC pack sells for £21.99 in the online stores for five wrestlers, two arenas, one title belt plus the MyFaction cards. Now if you take into consideration that each of the wrestler DLC packs are £7.99 individually with every pack averaging around five wrestlers each plus their respective MyFaction cards, using those packs as a basis this means that you're paying an extra £14 just for two arenas and a title belt, which my look cool and authentic but definitely not worth that extra cost. If anything it should've been around £12.99 - £16.99 for the extra content. Basically, unless you don't care about getting your money worth and/or are a huge nWo fan, i would wait for it to go on sale and pick it up for like half off.

lol, I was excited about this game, I pre-ordered it and when I got it I put off playing it for a week or 2, and before I installed it I remembered the boring grind I had with previous titles and how empty the games end up being and just sold it. Pretty fun videos though, if anything it brought back a lot of nostalgia about the fun I used to have with these games. I'm probably wrong for getting rid of it so soon, but, ah well. I wouldn't pay as much as you did for a few extra skins though.

I would of bought the season pass and nwo stuff when it releases later so it's actually do you pay the 120 now or pay later at different amounts which eventually adds up to that 120. If you never want to get season pass or any dlc then it's not worth it.

I got the deluxe because the nwo was pretty expensive but I might download the nwo thing later but overall the game itself is awesome . The first two days my game was crashing so much but ever since the update it fine If I do still wanna do nwo I can go to community creations hut the only downfall will be no nwo theme

I used microsoft points to knock down the cost of the NWO edition to the Deluxe Edition...so yes for me in that case it was worth it...free points used to get the top edition for the price of a lower tiered edition.

They need to add a way to add custom titan tron videos. Perhaps allowing you to download videos from a flash drive and then uploading it to your titantron. Next they need to add a feature that was in WWF RAW 2 on original XBOX. That feature was the ability to put custom music in the game for your entrance theme. They did a poor job on the NWO titantron video.

Even as a WWF kid growing up in the 90's, I was a major NWO fan, so it was a no brainer for me. Aside from the price point, it bums me out that there wasn't a physical copy, even more so now with Scott Hall passing away. I would have just liked to of seen a physical copy with some badass NWO cover art.

I bought nwo edition for pc for approx $148 AUD at launch. Ive already sunk over 100 hours on it. I think its worth it as its the first pc wwe game i bought in the past 23 years, having always been playing on a playstation going back to wwf attitude on psx. I end up playing it after work everyday, and growing up a teen in the 90s, the nwo just brings back all the great memories from that period of wrestling when wwf and wcw were really competing and putting on great tv.

I pre-order NWO edition and played at 12:02 am on March 18th. Went straight to Universe Mode to put the NWO in my Universe. They now all wear gold in their entrance which is awesome 👌 just to look at. Sorry I'm 43 years old and NWO 4 Life since 96 lol. So yeah.......it's worth it. Only thing is I paid like 128 after tax

And the roster, arenas are amazing, graphics are way better now, haven't found any real bugs so far, except my option just keep getting unsaved even tho I save them. Tbh I’m enjoying this WWE game better than any wwe game since the smack down vs raw games. I may not rage on it like I used to but I always pick the title up because I just enjoy it. This game isn’t perfect but it is a very very exciting base to expand on.

Its cool to see Easy E back in wwe games aside from that i think wwe 2k14 had better nwo stars on offer. The Giant,Curt Henning,nwo savage and of course Scott Steiner. 2k14 nwo dlc pack was also cheaper comparing to 2k22 nwo edition.
