The blood system is also pretty neat. There's 3 levels of bleeding. Once you get to the crimson mask level, your stamina gets drained badly and you're constantly dripping blood. I think the newer games could learn from these older games and add in these features. They're small but really nice additions to the quality of life. In previous games, the referee would attack you and perform a finisher on you if you hit him.

Definitely the best wrestling game with the best controls and strategy. So underrated. Not many people played this game while everyone wrongfully crowns Here Comes the Pain as the best wrestler. Not even close.

My kids and I are still playing a bunch of them to this day, wrestling, football, racing, war games, Pokemon, and probably the GOAT Mario game: Paper Mario the Thousand Year Door. I love my hacked Wii, still going strong after almost two decades.

btw, tajiris still has matches in japan every once in a while and christ masters is now in nwa wrestling chris adonis. guys like jtg, eli drake (la knight), ec3 (the current nwa champion) tyrus (or brodus clay who actually jus retired after a match against ec3 for the title) and trevor murdoch who is a former nwa champion, are all former wwe guys who have been to nwa and promotions like mlw after leaving or getting released by wwe.

Literally the only thing missing from the DoR games… was a Championship mode, that lets you hold and defend titles in Exhibition mode like SvR. Other than that, these games were damn near perfect.

Both of these DoR games had awesome trailers. It felt serious and tied the Story Mode into them. I think 2K24 and future games should start with their big hype (maybe the Finish the Story ad can be this)

The story modes for both these games were fantastic. I only had a gamecube and a wii growing up. So DOR and DoR2 were my favorite games. I remember when this game came out I was hoping for the elimination chamber match but only the ps2 got that match. So I never got to play one until I picked up 2k16? Which one ever had stone cold on it. But I've been enjoying 2k23. I am hoping that 2k24 has stuff like this game inside it. The story modes are what hooked me in these games. I highly recommend playing through the campaign.

You gotta play the story mode to unlock legends. Also btw if you play the story, one of the hardest matches is a 4 way steel cage match kinda early in the story. It’s so difficult, i haven’t finished the story because of that match😭😭😭😭

In case you didn't know, when you pause the game there is an option to change the camera angle to face the arena stage. Makes the game even more impressive visually.

You need to do a playthrough of the Day of Reckoning 2 story mode. If you thought that Hell in a Cell match against Chris Benoit. was tough, wait until you encounter the story mode Steel Cage match. It's infuriating and rage inducing. Love your channel and content! Keep up the great work.

It's because of the match between HBK & Kane at Unforgiven 2004 (yes they've had a rivalry match & HBK won thanks to Lita) led to him suffering a big boot to the face that felt wrong and led to a muscle that attaches his eye moving a little out of place. That was a sort of an impromptu moment for HBK that he henceforth becomes like in the photo.
