This is a LONG comment, so please excuse this essay, but there's a lot that needs to be said. Cody is definitely going to be the guy to dethrone Roman but I feel like there were too many things favouring him not winning that ultimately led to the outcome at Mania. The long term story all the way from Raw after Mania last year was Cody finally winning the belt his dad never could, so I doubt that WWE is toying with him. This isn't his fault, but the pec tear is probably the biggest thing that messed up everything for him. Him being out for months while Sami organically became the hottest babyface in the industry just rubbed salt on the wound, and it didn't help that Sami got nuclear babyface heat on the exact same night that Cody returned and won the Rumble. Nobody was talking about Cody, everyone was talking about KO and Sami after the Rumble ended. Even worse is that a lot of fans thought Cody's win was handed to him as he came out at 30, took on 6 guys and went 10 minutes with Gunther. Had Cody not been injured, more people would have been on board with Cody, because he would have organically been built up over those months had he been on TV. That's also why so many people wanted Sami in Cody's position even though they knew Sami was never the guy. People were saying he didn't "struggle enough", and he didn't face any adversity on the road to Mania. I can somewhat agree with that because Roman is legitimately the "Final Boss" of WWE and the person to beat him should be someone who scratched and clawed their way to the top of the mountain. Cody was pretty much on autopilot from Rumble to Mania. The Mania build was also underwhelming imo. The first 3 or so weeks was nothing but "My dad Dusty", and it wasn't until the last two weeks that Cody/Roman actually started addressing relevant stuff like Cody leaving to go make a name for himself and Roman being a handpicked corporate failure for 8 years of his career. Had they put more emphasis on that as opposed to Dusty, then the story would have been better. This whole Lesnar feud is exactly what happened with Cena in 2012 that's happening with Cody rn. It's to build Cody up to be more credible. His first adversity was Solo at Mania, now it's going to be Brock. He's going to inevitably beat Lesnar and then win at Summerslam against Roman. How well it will be received, that is questionable. Last point is obviously that Roman is the greatest champion of the modern era and with 1000 days just around the corner, Cody was not built up enough to warrant Roman's reign being stopped just a month and a half short of that. A lot of people want to live in the moment and want instant gratification, but had Cody won, how long would it have taken before fans became sick of him? This happens to all babyfaces once they win the title. It happened with Reigns, Rollins in 2019 had the same thing happen to him. It's not their fault tho because WWE cannot book babyfaces at all.

Let's not fathom if they decide to push it till Survivor series or all the way to WrestleMania 40. WWE shot themselves in the foot cause the Roster is thin of main eventers and they got a lot of time to kill

Here's a suggestion (what are your thoughts) Cody Rhodes needs to be the one to end the Brock and Roman era for good so I think cody should tell Broc and Roman and himself to put careers on the line in a triple-threat match the winner becomes the face of the company then in end losers leave retire from the WWE. Cody puts his career on the line because whats the point of coming back if he cant win big one and bring honor to the Rhoades name his fathers name he might as well quit right? Roman has nothing to prove in the WWE but to be the greatest in the The Anoaʻi family as well the greatest in wrestling industry to be the head of all things (hopefully we can get the rock to wrestle so roman can smash him) he's motivation to be the greatest of all time. Brock is wildcard because he has both UFC and WWE fan base and now the merging of the companies means he gonna be big asset to the companies so since he wants to be the greatest athlete of all time from both ufc and WWE because now he can more money from both companies to feed his family for generations we get a wholesome brock lesnar and understand why he fights the way he does. Then we get Vince in the storyline rooting for either Roman and Brock to win because those are his biggest cash cows and there can only be one main guy he looks down at cody hopes he looses and that can launch him with babyface heat into the match to win because he isn't backed by the WWE as they see him as just an indie talent/dusty’s son with marks to make money off. Heel Route is the way cody and vince set up brock and roman betray them as vince wants a new era of WWE tells them its just business as he needed to destoy his two biggest assets to make a new one and cody becomes the ultimate professional wrestler and leads the new regime of the WWE bring back prestiege to the title belts to make them mean something again as well as the paper views having more storylines introducing new characters into the company. starting a new era of WWE Cody Rhodes as main lead. Focusing on character,chrisma, in ring work,storytelling, bringing dignity to the professional wrestling the titles and the Rhoades name to make him legit star. Building top stars,midcard,low card in roster. Get rid of the deadwood. As for Brock will go on his farm and be chilling and Roman can go to Hollywood as it will be less taxing on his body.

I don’t have a problem with Roman Reigns, and hell, I think we can all agree that he’s much better as a heel than he was as a face, but this is kind of getting ridiculous. This shit is like Super Cena all over again. The entire main event scene of the WWE is practically non existent. Every single PPV match regarding the WWE championship has become stale and predictable because Roman wins every single time. It’s time to move on and let someone else become champion. If not Cody, then who? Who else could they possibly push to realistically be able to take the titles from Roman? Wrestlemania was the perfect opportunity and they dropped the ball. What was the point of having the Usos lose their titles just to have Roman keep his? Makes no sense. The entire buildup to this storyline led to Cody winning at Mania. And I’m not even a Cody superfan or anything, I was just at least expecting some kind of payoff at Mania for a storyline that lasted months, but we got nothing. All that buildup, for nothing. I don’t know if they just did this for the shock factor or what. But to have him lose to Roman at Mania and then just feed him to Brock the very next night is super disrespectful. I hope they bring Randy Orton or someone back soon because to be honest, this shit is getting kind of boring. If they do plan on pushing this all the way to Summerslam, I don’t know if they can hold my interest long enough anymore.

No one even cared for the bloodline til jey and roman interfamily feud. And then again it was jey and sami who basically got the storyline intriguing again. So the minute you guys stop making videos is when the momentum is over. All ur doing is proving wwe made the right call bc ur fanboying and actually caring about a decision making process. Ur finally invested into cody winning it. Like i said sami was the real one to win it but cody took his moment and now cody finally has the opportunity to beat roman and it actually matters.
