Is WWE Secretly Recreating History? Is Austin Theory the next John Cena? Yes and yes.
Ever since the John Cena and Austin Theory comparison, I took a closer look at some of the NXT wrestlers and found some uncanny similarities. And I did some research and found some fascinating things about WWE repeating history.

Austin Theory has always had the look. I’ve been telling wrestling fans and people in the community that Austin Theory is WWE’s next star. They could’ve had Reigns but they started his reign late and Roman is nearing his 40s pretty soon. Now all we need are a couple of more young athletes to be alongside him

4:35 I wouldn't say Strowman is a failure, I'd say he filled that role very well for the few years he was with WWE. The first few years were obviously better and more entertaining when he was the Monster Among Men. Things started to go south once they made him act like a regular guy.

I cannot describe in words how satisfying this video felt to me. Because at first I was totally against the concept of creating the next John Cena because Cena is my childhood role model, I grew up watching John Cena. He has been the source of my motivation since I was a kid. Cena has created a huge impact on who I am today. How can I simply let some newbie be called the next John Cena. But your video have changed my perspective. It gave me solace and contentment. Yes ofcourse somebody has to carry the torch forward and yes this is how this works.

Dude this is probably one if the realest and most needed video for the wrestling community. Everyone always complaining bout one company or another. How bout we all just sit back and enjoy watching the rise, fall, success, and failures of all the future bright stars. My favorite part of wrestling is watching these new guys come in as young hotshot and seeing their growth and watch them slowly morphing into the next wwe hall of fame like we did with brock and orton and Cena and my favorite batista. I was bleesed to have been born before the attitude Era so I got to watch the old school guys retire the legends today make their beginnings and now as they start to retire I get to watch the whole new generation of superstars slowly start to build their names and become superstars.

Not really. He called Parker Boudreaux Harper when the character name was Harland. He also said WWE are creating the next Brock Lesnar with Bron Breaker, however Parker Boudreaux aka Harland was seen as the next Brock Lesnar, Paul Heyman even tweeted it out. He also said Bron Breaker and Brock Lesnar both have football backgrounds, which isn't true. Brock Lesnar was a decorated amateur wrestler and only tried his hand at football AFTER his first WWE run. Those are examples of pretty lazy research to be honest.

This video makes me smile. It makes me smile because it showcases how real wrestling can be to anyone and everyone who crosses its path, whether you're a wrestling fan or not. Professional wrestling, not just World Wrestling Entertainment, but professional wrestling as a whole can inspire generation after generation. It has the power to motivate and help one grow into something that not even said one could possibly imagine. This isn't some movie set with bright lights and with fancy cameras. This isn't broadway with stage directions and moving prop pieces. The drive, the determination, and the passion each professional wrestler, not superstar, each professional wrestler puts into their line of work is absolutely phenomenal and should be seen as that. No matter who you are, no matter where you come from. No matter where you started or how you finished. No matter where you're placed on the card or where you sit in the crowd. Professional Wrestling is a masterpiece. It's effected the world around us and with all respect has improved it. Others see this as fraudulent. Others see this as bottom of the barrel garbage. But me? I see it as a reminder of what I can be if I push myself to limits I've never seen before. I see it as a representation of the world around us just like those who watch NASCAR or the NBA or the NFL. I see this the same way those before us saw it with the icons and legends of yesteryear like the great Billy Graham, like the great Buddy Rogers, like the great Eddie Guerrero. I, as a wrestling mark-- and yes I am proud to be a wrestling mark--, see this sport as something to cherish. Something to look towards. Something to elevate. Something to admire: Then. Now. Forever. Together. It's more than just a marketed slogan they put at the top of the hour. - Thank you Professional Wrestling. From all of us, to you.

I personally somehow see Cody Rhodes (wrestlemania 38 return) as the next John Cena. I see him getting a long term mega push, considering the fact that Roman will now be a kind of part-timer. He shares the same vibe as John Cena, the HLR thing, that American Patriot thing and his mic skills (though it is far from what Cena delivers). Theory too can undoubtedly wear those boots too. WWE knows how to create, manipulate and end a character. But yeah maybe it is too late for Cody, MAYBE!

He could always develop the skills. Remember, Austin wasn’t a good talker until he just started leaving WCW. Also The Rock was kinda bland on the mic when he first joined the nation and then immediately picked it up week after week. Am I saying he will be as good as them? No. But I can certainly say that he could be a late bloomer.

It's rather funny how I just finished watching Jim Cornette talk about Cena and hulk and now I see this video... But Jim compared Cena to stone cold more than hulk Hogan. He said that stone cold was close to his real life charecter and so was john Cena and hulk Hogan was like a super hero charecter that wasn't really authentic it was clearly a persona. So he compared Cena more to stone cold than hogan. And I see why.
@deanoss777
@deanoss777 Жыл бұрын
Cena was a mix of both. He shared Austin's authenticity with Hulk's superhuman persona. There's a reason why the name "Super Cena" was created. I think the difference is Hulk was a superhero 24/7 while John turns into one when he's in the ring or at the pinnacle of a feud.

Theory is amazing. No doubt. But just remember what John Cena said to Ezekiel in his 20th anniversary. "JUST never forget who you really are" While that's joke regarding the feud of Kevin Owens going rambling about Elias & Ezekiel and upcoming Elrod, It's possible that John Cena secretly referred everytime WWE tried to recreate a character for a different person.....and failed miserably. You know. Some examples would be: Ryback as 2nd Goldberg, Mason Ryan as 2nd Batista,....... It's good that Theory is having amazing run on main roster. But i seriously hope that WWE don't go too serious about making him another John Cena. Theory is Theory. He's a great talent of himself, not in someone's shadow. Same would be for other wrestlers that Pllana mentioned in this video. And I hope I will be wrong. I really do.

But the same could be said about the success stories, Hogan as the new Superstar Billy Graham, Degeneration X as the new New World Order. There were successes AND failures. It's not about the idea, but about how good the portrayer of the idea is. Ryback and Mason Ryan just weren't good.

Okay this is different in sports we tend to not want to compare younger/newer players to legends Because it can work against the player due to the pressure. But since wwe you can write the script it depends more on the crowds approval,most of the time to see if theory will be over or not Still very entertaining to say the least

One of the best videos of yours❣️ And that's why NXT 2.0 is further step from black and gold era, it is creating OVW kind of next generational talent. NXT black and gold is still my favourite era but it had forgotten it's purpose of creating new pro wrestling icons they were giving platform to best indie talent out there which is same thing AEW is doing. Vince has seen the buisness closely and want to create something that's more appealing faces that are more popular than wrestling itself. That's how casuals will tune in and that's how they'll become new fans.

A new Evolution like faction should be The Miz in a Triple H role, Theory in an Orton role, Ciampa as the old Ric Flair role. Then idk who exactly but Gable, Veer, or maybe Ezekiel in a Batista role.
