When I saw there was a coupon for your Portfolio Surgery course, I had to snag it up as fast as possible. Being out of a job and transitioning to web development from a completely unrelated industry (food service), money has been tight so I can't thank you enough for the coupon. Cheers!

So much nostalgia when you said Yelpcamp 😂😂. I loved it, its what got me started in web development, shame mine no longer works. I think I'm going to recreate with my own technologies. It's a project with a lot of potential to add your own features like Google address lookup, profile etc.

Bought his bootcamp about a week ago, and doing 9-10 hours of it a day (not video hours, just total time working/studying it.) Out of curiosity, you mention that not many people you know have completed it in its entirety. Do you think it’s worth completing? Or a waste of time after a certain point.

I'm starting to try to learn and see if I have what it takes to be a front end web developer at first. I am with the FCC curriculum and my idea is this 2021 to form solid bases in html and css, to carry out several projects and my portfolio. My query is for those who have studied in a self-taught way, who consider better or gave better results for you, take notes with pencil and paper or use something like evernote, notion, etc and do it directly on the pc?
@JeffWQC8 ай бұрын
When I was in college I took all my notes by pencil and paper, I never even thought of digital notes of course that was over 10 years ago. Now that I'm taking online courses for refresher and to learn new things I'm using Obsidian. I like it and it's much easier than trying to juggle multiple notebooks and trying to search for what I've written. It's in markdown so you can take notes now you want and let's you link all of your notes to each other to make your own flow I've never used other notes taking software other than Google docs (which admittedly is not just for notes), but I like like Obsidian a lot so far.

What's the differences between this vs his JS course? I am currently taking his JS course but I see that his Web Developer course also has JS sections
@abdou71593 жыл бұрын
His javascript course is only about JS and it dives deeper in it, but the JS section in his web development course doesnt cover all the aspects of his JS course. He only covers what you need to know to make it through the web dev course and build the yelp project at the end. So if you want better chances of mastering JS I would advise you to keep taking his JS course, and it wont hurt you to still take the web dev course as well.
