How did she infer that the girl wanted her sister to hold the phone AFTER the accident? She could be pushing a young girl who already feels guilty, to confess to something she didnt do. There would be proof anyway if she was texting whilst driving.

Yep and questioning her without legal counsel when she is traumatized, even if she isn't police, means the confession wouldn't hold up in court. The paramedic also 'hunting her down' so to speak as well as her family members could be seen as stalker-ish or maybe even harassment. Tbh an easy defense that they could say was that she gave her sister her phone to play games while in the car so lil sis could be entertained and big sis wouldn't be distracted by her phone. But like you said there would be proof if she was driving on the text messages however they are probably mostly deleted now and time for the sisters to get their story straight with this being a 'he said, she said' situation where its just based on the paramedics hunch from what a traumatized 4yo said (who maybe didn't articulate things and was focused on keeping the phone safe because thats how her brain was processing things). Getting a warrant would be hard and trying to point out her feeling guilty as meaning she is guilty of texting and driving wouldn't be rational because its normal even for accidents or tragedies to have people involved who came out mostly unharmed or who were the only one (or few) that lived to have some sort of guilt/survivors guilt. Also assuming her trying to do a good deed (raising money for the man hit) as a sign of guilt instead of generosity/kindness/repayment as it technically WAS her car that hit him, wouldn't hold up as evidence imo to support a warrant. Also there should be not only more witnesses but if the person hit remembers anything, because I feel bystanders who called 911 (seeing as how the young girl had the phone) would have probably seen the teenager pass the phone to her sister. Then accident re-creation teams would be able to figure out more about the crash and how it happened (like if there was really a potential blindspot like she said). Heck, there maybe even cameras nearby that caught it on camera. The paramedic interfering like this could actually affect the viability of a case against the girl I believe as she should have listened to the other paramedic who told her to just put it in the report and let people who are supposed to investigate it, investigate it. She should know letting emotion interfere with important decisions can affect the outcomes and she is a hypocrite in her reasoning. She didn't want to say anything in the report to not affect the sisters relationship but then instead of putting it in the report or telling the right people or not saying anything at all she confronts the minor herself, without a parent present, playing on her guilt of the situation while also implicating her suspicions were because of her little sister. Like yeah, that TOTALLY wouldn't affect the relationship right? She literally went for the worst of both options and did exactly the opposite of what was apparently holding her back from going thru the right channels. So many things wrong with what she did but this is just a show and there are lots of people who are actually in this line of work who point out the 'no no's' that happen in the shows which are like 5 every scene so this isn't super surprising.

Why do they say 'hello sir can you hear me' then wait about 2 seconds before concluding he isn't responding. You wait longer.. and try again. THEN you check for feeling. Then after all that you can assess. Edit: I KNOW. I AM FIRST AID TRAINED. I KNOW HOW FILMS WORK. I KNOW IT IS FOR EFFECT. THEY DO IT WRONG.

They do it to make sure they are fully unconscious, if they are it'll be up to the EMS on scene what they do to keep the person alive and save, as with certain people they wake up after being unconscious after a certain amount of minutes, as EMS need to get permission to do certain things if they are awake.

@@ReeceP23Thank you I know *why* and I am trained First Aid, but why don't movies ever wait long enough - they portray a character who just walks up and says, like in this video, very briefly 'can you hear me sir'. Correct procedure involves trying both ears, shaking them, trying twice, and a potential body examination for blood or CPR.

I mean she was also doing sternum rubs while asking that. If he was conscious he definitely would've been reacting in some way.

@@diqital_aviator I'm first aid trained as well, it's mainly the US that do it, in the UK they do it once maybe twice to make sure before going onto the next steps.

Because it's a tv show more concerned with keeping the pace of a fast pace action scene than showing real life procedure?

@@ratanangmotaung We saw that in the clip but what was the outcome after that? Did the teen actually admit it and did the paramedic put it in her report. Kinda messed up if she didn't. The guy who got hit shouldn't be relying on a go fund me to pay his medical bills. The girl's insurance company should be paying. So what if she feels bad. It's her fault a guy ended up in hospital and she needs to own up to it.
